honestly, UNC/DUKE and UK/UL are the same emotionally.

There is just more actual loathing, hatred and venom in the latter. State lawmakers had to pass legislation requiring the two to play each other.

With no professional sports team in the state, those two schools are it.

It's just different. That's all I can say. Fire away with all the blah blah you want I'll not argue. Each has it's case

I lived in Louisville for a while. It's a great rivalry, but not on the same level as Duke and UNC. JMO

Your response here tells me that UL v. UK doesn't mean nearly as much as UNC v. Duke. So you're telling me neither Louisville nor UK would rush the floor if their team was unranked and they beat a top 5 rival? You're crazier than I am.

No, they wouldn't. Louisville maybe, if they were giving away crown royal and swisher sweets at half court.

UNC should hold itself to a higher standard, ranked or not.

Congrats UNC on a great win and great second half, but rushing the court at UNC is pretty bad. Don't care about your rationalization's. See you all in Cameron in a couple of weeks.

True, I am just surprised that they would given UNC's success over the past 5 years or so. They've been there before, so why wouldn't they act like it?

Like I said, you're crazier than I am. And your 30 or 40 or so game rivalry with UL doesn't mean nearly as much. I'm sorry. Sometimes we can't all be winners. The USA women's hockey team feels your pain.

That is WAY different. IU had been down for nearly a decade and the game was won on an amazing last second shot. One of the most exciting finishes to a basketball I have ever seen.

I've been in your shanty named the "dean dome" and it's nothing special and not on the same level. Neither is the horse barn down the road named Cameron.

UNC fans are soft. Duke fans, well, are duke fans.

Okay, I get it. UNC has been there before. And we have. However, unless you've been living under a stone the last month or two, Duke fans have basically been deriding UNC fans about their "weak" team. I know Duke hasn't had the opportunity to be an unranked team upsetting a top 5 UNC team much under K (his back would give out if that were the case), but you have to put yourself in the place of UNC. When K is done (and I hope that time is soon), I expect much more court rushes from Duke fans when they beat a higher ranked UNC.
