Unemployment Benefits

this i don't get. unlike most you have a legit reason to not be able to find work and have limitations that limit the industries you can work for. yet you are employed and working. i fail to see why you wouldn't agree with me. how can you be happy about supporting the 100% healthy and full bodied people who wont make the hard choices?

I do agree to an extent, I guess. I hate freeloaders, and those that scam the system over a 'disability'. Trust me, I know what a disability is. Nevertheless, I still work. It helps keep me going, active, and helps prevent further decline, IMO. I try really hard to mask the problems I do have. It's a pride thing for me. I will say I am fortunate. Compared to many, my problems are relatively mild.

I do think that there are circumstances where people that work hard, can't find work. I don't mind these people getting help. They have contributed to society and will do so again, once industry starts hiring.
In a sense, I guess I am in a way saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water." I wish there was a way to separate the two groups. When it comes to welfare, it needs to be scrapped and restarted as a workfare program. No more something for nothing.

I was in Chicago in November speaking at the National MS Conference. They did a brief documentary posted on the net on me and 9 other people from around the country showing how we keep going despite having MS. The project was called 'We Keep Moving'. My introduction at the conference consisted of holding up a UT yard flag and them stating that my blood runs orange. Got a few 'GO VOLS!' from the 2,000+ at the conference.:) I have never met such an inspirational group of people. Please, if possible, join an MS Walk or Bike MS team to help eradicate this disease. :hi:
