I dont get why some people are so up in arms over this ****. Every school has tradition. Ours is better than most but still. Not every school is separated into men's and women's versions of the same team. They are pretty much all Gators, Tigers, Bulldogs, etc. I appreciate our women's programs tradition as much as anyone but that doesn't mean I think that we shouldn't modernize and brand them the same. In the end, they are all Volunteers, just the way it should be. JMO.
To me it just seems that Nike is a bunch of penny pinchers who don't want to market a second logo. Branding it as "One Tennessee" is just a way of saying, "You get one logo and that's it because we're not paying for a separate template." That's the issue. I seriously doubt this "One Tennessee" thing is really about unity.
Not trying to sound like an ass here, I'm just being honest. With the exception of the basketball team, I couldn't care less about the women's athletics at Tennessee, nor about what Nike wants to do to its branding.

That's hilarious, considering that the trend to move away from separate names and logos was because it seemed chauvinistic.Have to agree. While I appreciate the fact that Pat was a trendsetter for women's athletics, the LV programs are no longer the best in the country. I see the retaining of the LV logos as a separatist, or elitist attitude. I have not attended a LV event since the mid-90's and have no desire to until they are "One Tennessee."
