Uniform/Helmet/Shoe design thread (merged)

I don’t understand why they want to change the uniforms, or why they got rid of the Smokey Grey’s. The kids that wear them seem to like them, so let’s roll with them.

Coach Fulmer said Gray was never a Tennessee color and that's why he got rid of those uniforms.

If you that’s the case and your going with all orange and white then don’t put grey on the road jesery’s either. Be consistent and just use orange and white.

This is what UT’s road jerseys should look like and they could go with white pants on some occasions as I like the storm trooper look too. D0634173-40D2-4EBB-9647-4C1DB6BB7D68.jpeg936F89E8-36D3-4A97-B859-4315F94D9E62.jpeg

From this picture it looks like the helmets were orange with a white stripe down the middle and ear to ear in the late 30's and early 40's

That image looks familiar.

I think we should always wear orange pants home or away vs our rivals, SEC Title and Playoff appaerances. I know I’m a broken record.

Orange helmet, jersey and pants would be cool for a game like Alabama,Florida and Georgia:cool: It would look great nationally on the highlight videos:cool:

Call me a Traditionalist. I want nothing but the white helmet, one stripe Power T. White jerseys with Orange numbers, no outline is preferable but outline is acceptable. Orange jerseys with no frills, just orange with white numbers please. Pants can be orange or white, but two stripes. No grey, no black, no off colors or uniforms. Our tradition is too strong to go crazy a la Oregon.

Also, I prefer the white/orange cleats/socks like 1989, but I get that some people like the black. Personally not my thing, but different strokes.

Didn’t everybody used to?
The last time all college football teams had the same type helmet was the 1920s-mid 1940s when everyone pretty much wore the same type brown leather helmets. A few like Notre Dame,Duke,Auburn,Georgia,Michigan and TCU would paint their helmets their main team color. Here's a TCU leather helmet like they wore in the late 1930s-early 1940s

I'm probably in the minority but I HATE the orange pants. They look ridiculous. I want a clean look. Stormtroopers for the road uniforms. They are some of the best road unis out there. Orange Tops/White Pants for home games. That's it. Nothing else. I give Alabama some props for sticking to a very traditional look and not caving to all the trends. They just stick with all white road unis and red/white for home.

Please do not bring back the orange britches. IMO, they look awful.

Those unis were great. I could do without the Tennessee above ther numbers. Other than that they are awesome. Nike would do an even better job with them in my opinion.

I'm a huge fan of the storm trooper on the road, but do dig the orange on orange every now and again. Any idea what kit they are wearing Saturday? I might have missed that!
