I've thrown out a couple in this thread, but don't look for black and the unveiling should be mid-July.
Within the context of pigment chemistry, black is, indeed, a color. With respect to the spectrum of visible light, black is not a color (Are Black & White Colors?). It implies the absence of color and, for that reason, we refer to a black hole as "a region of spacetime from which gravity prevents anything, including light, from escaping" (Black hole - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).
Two questions. First, should we be expecting something with "historical inspiration" or will it be more of a new age look? Secondly, will the pink breast cancer awareness accents you mentioned be a part of the alternate, or will that be a separate thing entirely?
I was told they are a color that's almost kind of black but not really because it's lighter. Or it could be almost kind of white but not really because it's darker.
