What are you're views on Universal Health Care?
I know most of you on hear don't care for HC.But she's proposing if she gets elected that she would push for UHC.I think that is a great idea. That means everyone from the wealthiest person to the poorest person can get the same health care.Wow something finally equal in this great country. What a concept.:yahoo:

Most people are going to argue that it will drive the quality of health care down and would be a horrible idea. I'm not sure how I feel. My initial feelings are fully positive about it. But, I am open to the discussion. I have a good friend that I go to school with who is Canadian. He is very happy with the quality of health care in Canada (as a matter of fact, he goes there for as much treatment as possible not for cost but for quality). He comes from a family that makes enough money that they could afford good insurance here and good health care - so I look at his case as a good point of comparison. If it weren't for his experiences, I think that I would be much more against it. He really thinks this is a no-brainer move for the US.

Hillary also wants the federal Government to take control over the market.

That alone tells you never, ever vote for her. I actually like Obama/Edwards proposition to insure children universally.

Besides, she has tried this before and it was a colossal failure.

Why not insure everyone?

I like that idea too. I just hate that Obama and Edwards are credited for it.

Yes... we will all get equally bad health care. Socialism spreads misery and pain evenly, but not wealth and benefits.

Translation . . . please give me something without regard for who actually pays for it.

The sad thing is, health care isn't free. He will pay for it, you will pay, I will pay, everyone will pay...

Look at how well the gov't runs our VA hospitals and come back to me about wanting universal healthcare.

I just can't see the down side to everyone getting free health care GEEEZZZ!!!!!!!!!:peace:
The downside is that 1) Healthcare is not some inanimate object that the government can grow on trees and give away. 2) Nothing is free. You'll still pay for it.

health care for everyone would be great and no one here would argue that. Its the "free" label put in front of it that scares the crap out of everyone.

Nothing in life is free unless your a senator!

You remind me of someone:question:Oh yeah I think I remember his name was E.Scrooge
There's a big difference between being stingy with your own money and stingy with someone else's money. This isn't something that anybody can give away.

Maybe so.But I just guess I'm a kind-hearted person.I like to help the less fortunate. Not everyone poor in this country put themselves there. If you think that you are sadly mistaken.

Let me show you what will happen if Hillary enacts her plan. 1/7 of our GDP will go towards Healthcare. Something is going to suffer if you consider that just 3% of our GDP goes to the military. Another thing is foreigners with serious problems will flood in here to get help since we cant deny them health care in our current state. Immigration would have to be fixed first.

You seriously need to get off your high horse. This has nothing to do with being a nice guy.

But to even admit you're stingy is an indicater of you're character.

Treu, this could happen even in the US, but this does beg the question of how something like this could slip through the cracks...

FOXNews.com - 11-Year-Old Boy Partially Deaf for Nine Years Is Suddenly Cured - Health News | Current Health News | Medical News

Jerome Bartens was diagnosed as deaf in his right ear when he was just two-years-old.

Over the next nine years, he struggled to live a normal life as a young boy — but everything changed when he felt a sudden pop in his right ear while playing a game of pool with friends.

He put his finger in his ear and pulled out a tip of a cotton wool bud that had been wedged in his ear since he was a toddler.

"It was just incredible — his hearing returned to normal in an instant," Barten's dad said.

"I had always suspected Jerome had stuck something in his ear when he was little and that was causing the problem. But the doctors and hearing specialists said it was wax and he would probably grow out of it."
"I am amazed they didn't spot something as obvious as a cotton wool bud."
