oh i totally agree. that was a blown call. if i were meyer, i would be goin crazy about it, but maybe he doesn't want to agitate anyone because they might make him actually do something legit to spikes.

oh wait, who am i kidding, nothing would happen to him either way. but yea, that was a really bad no flag.

If Meyer violated the rules, he will pay a fine, but I wouldn't look for a suspension on his first offense. Slive got tougher with the rules because of Kiffin's comment about the warning letter meaning nothing.

So much for Slive's rule. If Slive fines or suspends CLK, I guess CLK can fricken sue the SEC. Slive is such an asshat.

if i had to guess, nothing comes about from this.

i agree with meyer, flag should have been thrown. but if kiffin would get fined for making a similar remark, then so should meyer. i wonder what will constitute the difference between a fine and a suspension? suspension for kiffin if he does it again, and fine for everyone else?

It says right there in the letter "fine and/or suspension". That is his out right there. If he wants to say he is upholding his edict he can give out a slap on the wrist fine.

He won't pay a fine, or get a suspension, or even get a reprimand. Slive will side with Meyer like he always does.

I took that as an apology for a missed call letter...I know slive most definitely did not take it that way. But is there a way to confirm which meaning is correct?
