I do wonder why he didn't announce this before Charlie Strong had accepted at UL.

Do you guys think Foley didn't want Strong or is this just a coincidence?

so whats the actual news about his health....it seems to me like he will be fine but can't take the stress from coaching due to his condition.

everyone keeps 'wishing' for a full recovery......doesn't sound like he can recover, but needs to take it easy.

stop acting like the man is going to die in a few weeks.

Charlie would not have been considered.

For as great a DC he was, Strong is unproven as a HC, and Foley got burned once with the Zook hire.

There's a news conference scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

All we know is Meyer has a heart muscle defect in addition an 11 year brain cyst.

I don't wish a heart ailment on anyone... but this doesn't change who Meyer is. I have absolutely no doubt that he'd sell his family to cannibals for a cure so he could coach again. He exhibits more characteristics of a classic narcissist than any public figure I've seen other than Obama.
