UROS Appreciation

Cautiously optimistic about Uros. If Barnes turns this guy into a decent player then I will be really impressed. He showed some things today. Two games in a row.

He’s finally starting to realize he’s 7’0.

His game has improved so much.

Glad to see his mean streak came out!
Have been saying for weeks that this team needs an identity...Ironically, the tallest and shortest players are setting the attitude. He could literally be the difference for us down the stretch if he keeps it up.

First time this season, other than the Arizona game, that I have watched most of the game. The last two years of Plavsic being on the floor was hard to watch, but in the game tonight, somehow, he had a fire in him. I would like to see that every game going forward. That type play will be critical down the road.

Biggest clown in Knoxville media. I can’t believe there are people who give him their hard earned money to do nothing but dump on the school they claim to love. The day fans stop funding his grift and he retires back to his real home of Philadelphia will be a joyous day for UT.
Still on the fence about Basillio huh?

That’s twice this week. Against Vandy Pippen Jr just made a big 3 late and I wondered who’s going to step up for us? Instantly it was ZZ and Uros. They closed the Vandy game out. This wasn’t quite the same thing as the Vandy game but Uros stepped up again and ZZ hit a HUGE 3 to keep LSU at bay. I think we found our go to guys when we need a play and it sure isn’t who people would’ve guessed before the season.

Idk if anyone here realizes the light just didn’t simply come on for Uros. What’s happened is he’s finally getting the minutes due to the fact Fulkerson and others aren’t playing well. With these minutes he has gotten comfortable and gained confidence. All he needed was the opportunity and minutes.

I love the passion and intensity Uros plays with but let’s be real, he is not athletic enough to play defense against most post players in the SEC. For TN to get past the first weekend of the NCAAT, Fulky, BHH and ON better step it up or we will be a first weekend exit come tourney time.

Very happy with Uros performance tonight. He is starting to feel comfortable out there as he strings together a good amount of minutes.

It really help loosen things up for our perimeter shooters when we have a big man to clean up things and is willing to get dirty inside.

I confess, I never thought Plavsic would contribute much, but he sure is proving a lot of us wrong. Not pretty but he is bringing an attitude on the court that we needed. His effort is contagious and he is going to be that guy other teams hate. A coach needs to tell him to stop putting the ball on the floor when he is in the paint however. When he keeps it high, is patient and clears space he will continue to make a high percentage of his shots. Amazingly he is our best frontcourt player right now.
