UROS Appreciation

I’ll come and eat some crow, I was one of the ones saying he needed less minutes and BHH needed more of his minutes. Without Uros and the tone he set, that could have been a completely different game yesterday. His defense had been decent, it was his offensive contributions that were lacking. It seems against Vandy, Uros turned a corner. If he can put in 10 points a game, get 7+ boards, challenge shots in the paint without fouling, and not get whipped in pick and roll situations defensively, he’s by far exceeded any expectations. He also seems to have become a, if not THE, emotional leader of the team. That aggressiveness and toughness he showed against LSU something this team has been needing. Still hope he can become less clumsy with the ball in the post, and catch/be aware of passes from other players. He whiffed on 2 good passes to him in LSU game by not even looking for them. But overall, tip of the cap to you big man

I was on the Uros train longer than probably 99% of folks, finally jumped off about 8 games ago lol, I’m an idiot obviously. With that said, another example of Barnes development?? This guy looks like a problem and suddenly looks like your starting 5 next year and you don’t cringe?

I don’t think that it’s been mentioned, but Uros has two more years after this year. He’s an excellent player to have on the roster. If he has games where he only plays for 5 minutes, you’ll never see him pouting. He’ll still be the biggest cheerleader for his teammates. Maybe the most team-first guy I’ve ever seen wearing orange.

Yep. He can play 2 more if he wants just like the rest of our juniors

Watching Uros live against LSU, I see that he is very aggressive and tries to play within the teams offensive and defensive concepts. He is a smart player, he has trouble with ball handling but you can see his confidence growing every minute he is on the court. I like his and ZZ's fire, the team needs it!

ON got into an argument with Barnes on the sideline and was sat for almost 8 minutes in the 2nd half.

When I mentioned that this team needed an in-game on the floor leader about a month ago, it never crossed my mind that Uros was the guy that would step up. Between Uros and the grit of ZZ this team may be on to something. Who'd a thunk it? Not me, but hallelujah! GBO!

Another big game Wednesday. Hope Uros doesn't punch Castelon in the face he is another dirty player that Uros won't be willing to take no BS off of.

Castleton may not be able to play. He’s listed as questionable for their game tonight against Ole Miss.
