Uros Plavsic Olympic Note

Yeah...I admittedly know less about the NBA than others here, but I really don't understand the respect for Steve Kerr's coaching.

Steve Kerr got the opportunity to play with 2 of the best NBA players at their position in Jordan and Duncan resulting in multiple championships as a player. He was also coached by 2 of the most respected coaches in Phil Jackson and Gregg Popovich.
As a coach he was fortunate enough to have Curry on his team and had a solid supporting cast with Thompson and Greene and then added Durant to the mix. We really won't know for sure if he's a good coach until Curry retires. However there are other coaches that could have screwed up the opportunity he had.

Tomjanovich comes to mind as having made the most of his opportunity as an NBA head coach.

Houston celebrates the life of Gene Peterson this weekend. “How sweet it is!”

7’2” Uros could have been really useful when UT played 7’4” Zach Edey in the E8. But the LotM d-nozzle posters would have been relentlessly bashing UP every time he’d have a bad play. Fahr Barnes! Idjits.
Would have been fouled out quick but at least he wouldn’t be afraid of him like a certain player at Arkansas was

It would have been fun to see. Maybe Uros doesn’t get called for so many fouls when he’s matched up with a player that’s bigger than he is. He might have actually been able to force the refs to blow the whistle on Edey more evenly.

they also have a whole squad of all NBA young guys. Ant Edwards Haliburton, AD, Tatum, Bam none of those guys are old. Most of the team is under 31 5 are 27 and under. This team is extremely young Lebron (who you cant really count as he seems like a cyborg) Steph is 36, KD is 35, Holiday is 34. Which of them is slow? Embid is 30 AD is 31.

starting Lineup of
Tyrese Haliburton 24
Anthony Edwards 22
Devin Booker 27
Jason Tatum 26
Bam 27

wins these games. Outside of Ant these are all backups....This lineup could never play Lebron Curry and KD a minute and beat anyone.

Tatum, Holiday and White are teammates.
So are Lebron and AD
KD and Booker.

The only worries this team has is if they lose more than one big man. AD and Embid are both injury-prone. The big slow guys are the key to dominating and the reason we had to send this team is because believe it or not FIBA is more physical than the NBA. There are only two frontcourt in these Olympics that could challenge this team. Hilariously enough one is Serbia. The other is France. France is the one I was most worried about but they just got spanked by Serbia on the 12th. I think France is a worse matchup for us though. Both these teams have a lot of NBA players on their roster (mostly guys people haven't heard much of) but they are NBA players.

Plasivic doing Plasvic things at 20 minute mark and 20:25

Tatum wouldn't be a back up

Doubtful but Uros would probably have given more resistance.

I saw that yesterday when looking through the rosters. Backup to the best player in the world. Hopefully Uros can learn to improve his game from getting to practice against Jokic.

Don’t be surprised if Tatum comes off the bench against Serbia today. Sounds like Durant is healthy and going to play.

If Durant plays then that will make a big difference for Team USA and over rate Steve Kerr's coaching ability.
