US may have killed Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani

Yes, I am aware Weezer. But my defense was of the Iranian people, not the government.

But isn't something terribly wrong when the government doesn't represent the people? How do people defend themselves against that kind of tyranny? Surely it's not by living and supporting a theocratic religion/government ... that's no different from living in any other totalitarian regime whether it be a monarchy, communism or Nazism ... it all starts with people willing to give up their rights to dictators of one type or another, and the religious aspect of giving up control is a very insidious one because how can you fight what's "right"?

So, what now? Do we pull out of Iraq and let it fall into chaos again for us to have to go back to down the line?

If it weren't for the ugly head of globalism, we in this hemisphere could supply our own energy demands, and let China and Europe fight over the sandbox and deal with the ruling medieval theocracies controlling the oil in those sandboxes.

Iran has threatened to hit 35 different targets and attack the US Military along with the Israeli Defense Force:rolleyes::mad:

Well, that should be interesting - especially the Israeli response. I guess we'd finally get a chance to see where congressional critters get their fleas because they are sleeping with one or another of our enemies (foreign and/or domestic) at least half the time ... I don't see our defense contractors (for instance) as people acting in our best interest, but they sure make a lot of money scamming us.

Trump is thin skinned. The downside to the deep state trying to ruin his presidency is a thin skinned person that cares less and less about placating to them. Some of Trump's antics is his lack of concern about conforming. It is easier to communicate when there's a mutual respect. He is not a natural politician and hasn't spent a lifetime BS'ing people.

I have no idea if this is legit but wouldn't surprise me either.

Large parts of the southern border are wide open for their use although the facilities and transportation are definitely more crude. And, hey, terrorists don't have to worry about luggage inspection when using the southern route. Carry a few odds and ends for some Mexican drug guys, and they'll likely help you with transportation.

A true politician or diplomat can talk for hours without saying a damn thing and then leave people with a feeling of deep respect and gratitude although they can't quite figure out what the guy actually said. At least with someone like Trump we don't have to waste our time deciding whether to be upset or happy. I do actually like the analogy to the toddler with a loaded gun in this case though.
