You have to be a certain level of Autistic Nerd.......it's complicated. It was definately a watershed moment when pretty much IT professionals from coast to coast got red pilled as they made up a significant portion of those disenfranchised. In many ways Elon's Team of exceptional Computer geniuses/hackers exposing all this is the ultimate revenge chapter for gamergate. Most every IT person I knew leaned left before gamergate, and countless IT/Cybersecurity guys became red pilled and MAGA after. The anti left memes exploded across the internet after gamergate. Also obviously the kids who didn't know anything about politics suddenly found out, and the real resistance among Z vs Milleneals who had mostly accepted DEI began.... Gamergate made a pretty significant difference in political landscape but the mainstream never understood. It's not a large section of society by number, but it was a HUGE section of society by IQ. The ultimate irony here is most of those involved on the conservative, or I would argue classically liberal side of gamergate were content to ignore politics and be left alone....they had no interest in any of this...but the left just could not leave them be. The left unleashed a pretty potent collection of hiveminds against themselves all because they had to try and make games gay and trans, and then attack and deplatform any who resisted. The left brought it on themselves. Don't F*** with hackers should be right up there with don't cross the Rubicon unless your fully prepared to reap it.

There's countless videos on Gamergate on YT if you want to hear the details from all sides.

If I try to explain you still won't Just basically understand the left completely pissed off the entire internet nerd/autist/chan/geek/IT/Crypto/hacker etc etc community, and declared war on a group of people who were completely sitting out politics, and that cause them to all become political. They also as a rule are both very Petty and geniuses. This touched off a whole line of things online.

I could get into details the dei, the gaming magazines, the censorship, death threats, the hit pieces and the plat forms but you still wouldn't get it. So if you want to know more watch this. It's silly, but pretty much explains the feeling among Gamers hackers, nerdy chess club types etc. People who before Gamergate didn't even vote.

There's better videos about the exact history of all that happened but I don't think it would mean anything to you unless your a gamer, a nerd, and been hanging within hacking culture for a couple of decades. Also most gamergate videos come from the view poiint of those that CAUSED gamergate. The ones now being shown to have been smearing people with USAID funds. The ones that literally censor, and deplatform everyone else.

In Many ways Elon is the ultimate manifestation of the previous apolitical IT types that basically has prior to that not really cared who was in power. They just wanted to be left alone, but once they were in they were all in. It's these people who actually keep our digiatl world moving, the people who actually make things work, and or break or get fixed. DEI has no power there because either you can or you can't a dei cybersecurity hire isn't going to do jack to protect your company. This is a completely merit class. Underestimating them is a big mistake.

another way You could summerize it.

They decided to try and low intelligence brute force bully a group that likely have been bullied all their lives, have lots of pent up rage, who all have very HIGH IQ's, many have very high paying jobs often, are very HARD science backgrounds, very rationalists. They bullied a group that hates bullies with a passion, and can't be cowed by political correctness.

Gamergate was the greatest autistic slap fight in the history of the internet.

If anyone can stomach 4chan type trolling, gore, and smut imagery, Google 'encyclopedia dramatica gamergate'. Warning, that site was set up by literal 4chan trolls to celebrate their warped troll culture. They push the very limits of legality in an effort to offend, but they do give honest accountings with archived web links to document everything they present.

I dont think many are taking issue with reducing spending. We need to get annual federal spending back to a pre COVID baseline and cut from there (adjusted for wage inflation and higher interest rates)

The question is will DOGE go as aggressively after the Rs sacred cow (defense).

One party's waste didnt get us 36.1T in the hole as of 1/20/25. I think we need a bunch of sacred cows slaughtered, not just 1 sides....

I don't disagree. But I do value national security/defense as a primary responsibility of the federal government. All these nonsense social programs in foreign nations? Not so much.

Whatever 4chan is a cess pool, and even it's users would admit such..... They were never the center of it, just doing what they always do, which is take pleasure in debauchery and mayhem. I would not recommend anyone venturing into 4chan ever, for any reason, it's a bad place, and and will hurt you. It's also now heavily being hit with a lot of fake accounts that likely were paid by funds now drying up.....will be interesting to see without USAID how quickly things change there. It will never be a safe place though....and will always require eye bleach. Do not recommend.

I agree. Defense is something spelled out in the Constitution as a federal role. One of the few items

But what % of the DOD budget is waste? 1/8 is over $100,000,000,000.00 annually. Gutting the Dept of Education is nothing compared to eliminating 10% of DOD waste.

Im good with eliminating all this crap abroad. But apply that same level of scrutiny to all waste, not just D waste
