Which is why I think the testing criteria needs to be looked at. Take the M16 family for example (including the M4 and Mk18 in that).

You mean to tell me that in 60 years they haven't come up with a better steel alloy than Carpenter 158 for the bolt? Or they just haven't tried? Maybe it still is the best for the job, but had anyone even tried?

Plus, I think it was Knight's Armament that showed the high pressure test on the bolts actually reduced service life by like 1/3rd. They ran their data by Eugene Stoner and even he questioned why the test was still being performed. Likely because "we've always done it that way."

So, yes, even Mil-Spec tests should be looked at to see if they are:

A: Still relevant
B: Needed at all
C: Have a negative effect on the service life of the component
D: Would save time, money and effort to field systems quicker than they are now.

Not sure I believe this completely, but if the CIA was involved there are only two real possibilities IMO.

1) Trump was right about the swamp and the CIA is/was afraid he wasn't going to work with the program and possibly expose them....... Which I'm not convinced because if the CIA wants something they get it. They'd just as well kill Trump as let him destroy them

2) They thought Trump enough a threat to the country that they'd throw their weight against him...... Once again not sure I believe this either ....... If the CIA wants something they make sure they get it.

This is all wild, crazy stuff

We will see where it goes, but I can only imagine the emergency meetings being held right now to try and stop the light being shown on these corrupt programs/agencies. I think most of America wants to know and wants to see the evidence as it’s coming out now. One can bitch about Elon and Trump in how this has been revealed all they want, but it probably HAD to happen this way. Zero chance it would have ever been done by the uniparty or anyone else in DC, ever.

If the Democrats don't wise up and get on board with at least part of this cost cutting and government size reduction, It will be 12 years before they will even have a chance at a majority in any of the three governing bodies. I like to see a strong two party system, but dang these leftist are going completely off the rails.

I agree, and this isn't simply an oversight issue.

There's no way multiple levels of government including the elected officials so many cheer for of both parties knew, took part in our simply ignored their responsibility to the American people.

I'm sure there is an effort to mitigate damage and tighten circles happening now. Members of both parties playing cards they've kept up their sleeves.

We can't let them get away with it though...... They are responsible, it's time their assets are frozen, confiscated and they are left in shambles even sent to prison. Look what happens to Americans when they mislead the IRS.........

I take this personally, because of the new tax law last year we came very close to not being able to pay our taxes......... My, farm and animals all gone.......... And to pay for this spook slush fund.

I am in no way advocating for it but if you want to know how you create domestic terrorists...... That's it. Give people nothing to lose or believe in.........

DOGE sends Firing Notice To 9,0000 USAID Employees as Trump pledges to 'CLOSE DOWN' entire agency​


President Donald Trump will fire about 9,400 workers from USAID, deeming only 611 as essential employees and bringing about the near total elimination of the government agency.

His administration originally planned to keep fewer than 300 staff at the U.S. Agency for International Development but that number has now risen, according a notice sent to the agency late Thursday night.

Trump said he was closing down the entire agency.

The remaining USAID staff includes employees who specialize in health and humanitarian assistance, the New York Times reported.

When the original 300 number was floated, staff at the agency had pushed to keep more people on board, citing critical lifesaving humanitarian work.

Senior staff submitted a list of around 600 people to State Department leadership, calling their work essential and saying it could not be disrupted.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio approved the list of employees who are staying.

But about 800 awards and contracts administered through the agency are being canceled.

USAID's Washington D.C. office has been closed and protesters have been surrounding the building.
