It is stunning that USAID seemingly did not make any payments to conservative issues or causes. Maybe DOGE has simply not gotten to them yet.
I've been trying to post whether I've checked for the payments in my posts. I think the goal is to get it all out there.Maybe they aren't being reported because it doesn't support the narrative? Also, what is a conservative issue or cause that you'd have been OK with USAID funding?
A lot of what is being "reported" on twitter is completely unverified.
I am not OK with USAID deciding on funding really anything.Maybe they aren't being reported because it doesn't support the narrative? Also, what is a conservative issue or cause that you'd have been OK with USAID funding?

Billionaire President Musk rails against helping needed peeps around the world.
MAGA peeps are seriously ****ed in the head.
Sounds like a lot of hyperbole and wild assumptions. And what authority would this “agency” have for oversight of Starlink equipment? What a surprise

Perhaps...
But knowing the way the government lives to waste money, I'm pretty sure most things being "reported" are accurate. Look, if the funds went something like "$10 million to dig wells for villages in Saharan Mali" people would be right to question the removal of funds.
But we've got things like "$10 million to create artistic renderings of persecution of Cambodian transsexuals at the Louve in Paris."
True or not, there's a lot of smoke there on what was spent. And some of it was so downright absurd, my initial thought was "sometimes taking a slice of that pie because there is no way that's a thing." Let's face it, in a government agency where billions are spent, and a lot of it in the dark, $37,000 for a "transgender comic book in Peru" makes for an easy way to get money laundered right back into your account. It likely wouldn't even trigger a fraud warning. But you add up a bunch of things like that...
Now, you want a new conspiracy theory? Why have none of the recipients of this funding made a public outcry yet? You know as well as I do the media would be all over some crying kids or starving "artists" complaining about Bad Elon and his Merry Band of Non-Conforming Misfits slashing their funding.
Why have none of the end users made a ruckus yet?
My point is that USAID stinks bad enough for what has already been vetted and confirmed as true. Making up or falsely reporting sh*t is counterproductive and taints the facts.
Stiller for example has already thrown cold water on the claims of accepting money from USAID, leading to skepticism of all of the other celebrity's doing the same.
Anyone who believes and reposts unverified, uncited claims from a twitter rando is an idiot. Bonus points if the repost has BREAKING: with a little red siren emoji in it.
I'd be shocked if Stiller didn't turn out to be true or at least partially so. The only liars worse than (or just as bad as) politicians are celebrities.
(Yes, I teed up Trump for you... have at it)
Regardless, none of the rest have come forward to deny the accusations.
