USC Appeal denied completely

MH is praying we do not see penalties...His approval rating makes Pres Obamas look like a gold price quote....

I get pegged as a "Kiffin fan" on here because I don't detest him for having the audacity to take his dream job.

But whatever helps you sleep at night, I guess.

Personally, the only problem I have with him is that he left for his "dream job" at the worst possible time and in the worst possible manner, with a one-minute press conference and virtually no explanation for his sudden decision, leaving us scrambling for a new coach and to salvage a top-ten recruiting class. That is why I dislike him; I can't really speak for everyone else.

That is the part you continue to ignore. There were consequences stemming from his sudden exit, all of which had a negative impact on the talent pool and our depth chart, as attrition, defections, and injuries forced us to completely rewire our depleted roster to simply stay afloat against a brutal SEC schedule. Lane Kiffin did more harm to Tennessee than he did to help himself. Not to mention the trodding of toes while he was here, as someone here eloquently pointed out (username escapes me; my apologies). It's a good thing we don't have him anymore; we have Derek Dooley now, who, character-wise and common sense-wise, is a dramatic upgrade. You need to accept the fact that Dooley is our coach now, not Kiffin. Come out of that fantasy world you have created for yourself.

I wouldn't be surprised if Alabama claims Auburn's championship from this past year as an 'Alabama' national championship.

Doesn't Kitten & crew have to go back in front of the AA again when we go? I heard rumblings that the AA is going to go after Coach O too for something about a recruit in KY... Not sure about the coach O thing just another one of the many rumors that seem to fly around...

well with the loss of scollys how many will they get per year ,kiff got 30 last year ,im really glad their national championship is gone ,now when they tell recruits they can come their and win a tital they will have to say but more than likely it will be taken back by ncaa cause we are cheaters of course you know that already since we have been paying you since pee wee leauge

Kiffin is such a tool he didn't realize he was the polyfiller for USC. He led one of the most talented teams in the nation to one of the most mediocre seasons in living memory, and he will be gone as soon as they get their scholarships back. I still have a lot of difficulty believing this chump coached my UT Vols. Who hired him - that person should be fired....

When they abandon their NCAA title, that means Auburn will be the National Champion (and deservedly so). That's two titles for them this decade, and means we lost to the eventual NC again in the SECCG.

The BCS has already stated that if Southern Cal forfeits the 2004 BCS Championship, the BCS title would be vacant.

On one hand, yay for Kiffin getting what he deserved. On the other, I hope the precedent set here doesn't carry over to UT.

Say what?!?

"The championship would be left vacant and not awarded to another team."
