This could be one of the most ridiculous threads ever. They are elite and would be great in ANY conf. Those who wish they would play better teams in the SEC than Akr and Auburn, please. USC would beat UT by a ton and would be a fav. over every team in the SEC. That is not a knock on the SEC, just an endorsment for USC. I dislike them as much as anyone, but the truth is they are better. Look at the Patriots new starting QB. NEVER STARTED A GAME for USC, still gets drafted and is now a starter. Look at Patrick Turner from Goodpasture High in Nashville. Everyone in TN wanted him to go to Knoxville. He goes to USC and does not start (as a sr). Their back ups could beat Vandy, South Car, Ole Miss, Miss St, and UK. That would put them in the middle of the SEC.

Idiotic post. Yeah Matt Cassel really wrestled the starting position away from TOM BRADY. Oh yeah Matt Leinhart is dynamic. Mike Williams what a playmaker.Kenechi Udeze what a pass rusher. Reggie Bush averages so many all purpose yards it a shame. Dwayne Jarrett what a big play threat. Lendale White he's the next BUS. This team just has so much NFL talent. Patrick Turner the Michael Crabtree of the west coast. Hilarious.:eek:lol:

Where did I say Cassel "wrestled" the job away? I said he is now the starting QB without ever starting 1 game at USC. That was a talented team he played on. Mitch Mustain (ARK god) is 3rd team at USC. Your post shows your "ignorance". Cassel playing in the NFL is like Jim Bob Cooter playing in the NFL. Fact is simple....USC is better than ANY TEAM in the SEC. Not a better conf, but a better team. Could UF, UGA, LSU beat them????? Sure.....1 out of 4 times. I'm not happy about it, but it is true!

Lockdown, I might be the only person on this whole board that agrees with you, but im glad someone finally sees what I see.

USC will prove nothing to me by beating Ohio State (The SEC's biotch, and narrow winner over... Ohio.) It will look good to people like Brent Musberger and company, but in reality, they just beat a team about as good as like.. Boston College this year. USC doesn't really play anyone again this year, play in a weak conference and will somehow manage to mess up one of their conference games like they always do.

The USC players stats look so superior because of who they play. If we played in the Pac-10, Ellix Wilson would probably be on the cover of SI, and Berry would be in the Heisman race. Its weak, but its trendy and brings in a lot of money and recruits.. How else do you think Reggie Bush got that sweet house?

Thank you. If Ainge was in the Pac-10 last year he would have been a 1st Round draft pick. Proof: Matt Leinhart has no heart, no arm, and they loved his record and accuracy.

UT just got beat by a Pac 10 team that will struggle to win 3-4 conf games. Are you serious????? Cal??? wow, they were great last year! Pac 10 is not as bad as you think. Top to bottom, the SEC is better, but not by leaps and bounds. Stop drinking the ESPN kool-aid. SEC is the best, but not the NFC East!

With all that I said, USC still is a good program with good players. I think it just gets amplified by about 200% based on who they play. The only real thing that bothers me with USC is that they appear very upset prone and don't really play many Top tier teams.

One question. With through your own eyes who's got the better team Tennessee or UCLA. UCLA beat the Vols with their great coaches.

Yea! your correct! LSU (UK), UF(Michigan), UGA(Vandy 2yrs ago), UT(UCLA), never get upset. They only get beat by better teams! Texas and Oklahoma never get upset???? Ohio State may be the only team ....(oops Illinois). Come on! When you have the best state for high school talent (Fla maybe better but has 3 great programs picking and 1 up and comer) and you are the only real team in the state (UCLA and Cal are not easy to get into) getting that talent, you SHOULD be the best.

BTW.....Let UT drop Kentucky and Vandy each year and add Notre Dame and Ohio State (or another BCS team equal to Arkansas and Auburn) to their scedule. Then what would you think??? I know Bama, UF and LSU are much better than Cal, Oregon, and Arizona State, but Stanford and Oregon State are better than UK and Vandy year in and year out.

I HATE TO SAY THIS.......BUT UCLA WON THE GAME! I never saw CPF, Chavis, or Clawson take a snap! On that night...UCLA was the BETTER team. UT would win 8/10 times, but not that night! UCLA was better! Did the coaches tell the receivers to drop catchable balls, fumble at the 5, throw crappy passes that jerry Rice could not catch????? No! The players played terrible and deserved to lose that game.

Wasn't that like our worst year in a while. But you act like we can't beat a team that struggled with SDSU. What a marquee matchup. I tell you this if ND wasn't on NBC they probably would be on Gameplan every week. And Ohio St. Doesn't really want to play the SEC anymore. Don't want to go through the suffering.

There is zero chance Tenn would have run the table in the pac-10 last year and zero chance this year and probably zero chance for the past 5 years. wake up. you aren't an elite team anymore. it's not your conference its your talent and coaching.

go back past 5 and they would have run it a lot. These past 5, someone from the SEC could likely have taken USC's place and run it.

Is Cal your team? Because I think two years ago with R.Meachem and Co. we would have run through the Pacifier 10 conference with ease. You know about that team personally don't you. HE he he.

i really don't think talent is the problem. if a football team's success would be solely up to the talent and players on the field, i seriously think ut would be up there in the top tier of the conference. coaching has had alot to do with where we are now.

do you not recall how two years ago worked out for us, while USC remained in the national title picture all season.

I never said UT could not beat ND. I just think that ND is better than ULMonroe or UAB. I know ND is down (and I LOVE it) but they are still ND and better than most non conf teams the SEC plays.
