USC recruits shocked

Kyle Prater the ESPNU #43 overall WR has pulled back from his verbal comittment from USC. He said in an interview with Tom Lemming that he wants to explore his options, and the is focusing on 3 schools USC, Oklahoma, and Illinois. He said he is planning on visiting all 3.
More Proof.

now is pure spedculation as there is nothing on record of his opinions after he committed. i believe right now, in my opinion, he's one miffed off fother mucker. And this is like taking candy from a baby for the lane train.

Lemming interviewed him in early October. Only problem with Prater is that he's an EE and supposed to be on campus Monday. I don't know exactly how it would go down but if he didn't file the paperwork to EE at UT, then I believe he could not enroll at UT until summer as scholarship player.

If I remember correctly...Prater's dad was very high on UT. Does that sound right or am I thinking of somebody else?

This is the question that was asked. I answered ... the question. It does ask "before" and i did provide a link to the before part. Anyways, I've got some gentleman jack to attend to. V,B!

Just for the record, we have a much more proven WR coach now than we did then.

Killed Penn State In the Rose Bowl to.

man, i was so headed to get drunk before you said OSu is a top program. Seriously (please read my name) OSU is over-rated. The most over-rated program of all time. They are only able to beat big ten teams and are 0-9 against the SEC. there's over-rated and then there's the king of over-rated. OSU stinks. I HATE THE BUCKEYES!

Yeah we can both agree on the fact that OSU sucks.

Kippy Brown needs to get on the horn with Prater ASAP.
Either him or D. Rodgers would round this class of WR's out something fierce.

Rivals
Dosent even mention us.

Proof what, that he didn't have us in his top three prior to committing to USC months ago? How do you know his top three is still the same. Everything changes now that PC is leaving, everything.... He probably hasn't thought about a school other than USC in months. A lot has happened since then including both Oklahoma and Illinois stinking it up.

OSU's not a top program? That's news to the rest of the country. If USC hasn't beaten a top program then I'm not sure who you'd consider one. They've won more big games than most schools this decade. I'd love to see your list.

a few USC commits have contacted UF in light of Carroll's possible departure. Robert Woods is among them and may visit Florida along with Gator commit and fellow southern Californian Ronald Powell on the 22nd.

EDIT: forgot to mention Powell and Woods roomed together this week

Oklahoma has done better than us so for you to say them "stinking it up" would affect there position than it would ours to. And Illinois has always been in it only because they were the home team. Dont get me wrong, i am a big Vols fan and if im wrong and he does like us i will be very happy, but going from the most recent stuff he has said thats unlikely. Thats all im saying.

Yes, Prater was big on us before committing and we were in his final 3 due to CLK. Google it and you'll still find the old story. Now question is, if Carroll does leave do they go after CLK? I don't think he'd go due to investigation going on over there but if offered ....?

Hard to go there and explain a kid named "Knoxville". I think Coach Kiffin knows he has to stay a while and build a reputation before leaving. Hopefully, he builds a great reputation and realizes that with a boy named "Knoxville", UT should be home at least until he graduates from High School <gg>.

mlsoft :)

I hope he stays for a while too, but I don't think he's going to make career decisions based on what he named his child.

I hope not!!! I think he's a bust already. JMO.. I know thats a crazy statement but I have seen enou:rock:gh and read enough on this kid to just hope he stays on the west coast. He was terrible at the UA game and has yet to be considered in the top 3 of any camp he has attended.

Let the Scroggins stuff rest.

Thanks for the update.

Does the Pac-10 conference require the same preparatory course load as the SEC? If that doesn't make sense, essentially what I'm asking is: Could USC commitments (especially potential EEs) have to take more classes before enrolling at UT?
