USC sanctions

NCAA won't award it, but the BCS has essentially said they'll revote it if any of the more serious allegations prove true.

Right, as I said earlier, the trophy isn't the NCAA's award. Now did you mean to type revote or were you thinking revoke? Apparently there is talk of having no recipient of the award. I wonder how you revote, since USC won it on the field of play not by vote.

I meant re-vote, which was the conversation I have seen over and over. Might all be conjecture on the part of the pundits, but it's the conversation.

Revocation is a near certainty, but is nearly meaningless.

Its still awarded by a vote...The American Football Coaches Association is contractually bound to vote the winner of this game as the BCS National Champion, which guarantees that team at least a share of the national championship.

I remember the stink this caused in 2003 when the vote was split between LSU and ironicly USC.

Conjecture is certainly in ample supply, mostly inaccurate as usual.

Since there can be no redo of playing the game, it would seem logical to just award it to the team that was ranked 2nd in the final poll. Personally, I am for just not having a NC for that year.

All USC Juniors and Seniors have been told that they can officially transfer without penalty per USCFootball.com (Rivals)

NCAA Report on USC is 67 pages long. This is gonna be great! I can't wait to hear all the details.

Given all this, I would assume USC will get a little extra attention for the next couple of years to make sure nothing that's not above board goes on.

Sooooooooo ... My question is: Can Kiffin Hood and his man of Merry Men recruit in an environment in which they have to actually follow all the rules? And ... If they end up on the other side of the sanctions in a PAC-16 with Texas, et al, will the lad EVER even win a conference title much less a national championship?

Kiffin ran away after one year of facing SEC caliber coaches and talent. Where's he gonna go next?
