So one of your 5 "best" wins was over a 5-7 Utah team? Utah 2012 beat an FCS school and 4 FBS schools with a combined record of 15-34 with 3 of those teams combining for 7 wins. The rest of these teams are mid-majors.
If you really want to know how you would fare in the SEC... just take note of Utah's experience in the Pac12. You have 1 win against them in the last 15 years or so. So to say they are a better program is pretty fair. They went from being a "BCS buster" and routinely winning 9+ games to being a 5-7 doormat in the Pac12.
Obviously UT's best win was over USCe... a team vastly superior to each of the teams you listed.
Knowing first hand. Records don't dictate how good or soft a team is. Other things play into those factors. This year we r both 0-0.We know about USCe. Congratulations!
How you coming on that list? Best 5 in the past 3 years.
I'm all sorts of excited to see it...
P.S. - Be careful of associations between "5-7" and the word "doormat".
You keep banging the SEC drum like you are one of the good teams in the SEC.
UT is 4-20 over the past 3 seasons in the SEC.
UT is one of two teams in the league that has not made a bowl appearance in the past 3 years.
We know about USCe. Congratulations!

All teams go through peaks and valleys, the better teams like UT have more peaks than the bad teams like USU. Consider Bama, arguably the best college program in the country right now. They've won 3 of the last 5 NCs. However, in the 10 yrs before Saban got there they were in a big valley, 67-55 which would be phenomenal for USU, but got coaches fired at Bama. They had a 3 win and two 4 wins seasons. In the 12 years prior to Saban UT was 10-2 vs Bama. Btw, in UTs current 10 year valley, we're 67-58.
Bottom line is, you can point to the last 3 seasons all you want, that's fine. But UT is the 8th major college team to win 800 games and we're well on the way to returning to one of the top teams in the country like we've historically been for the last 90 years and none of your "yappy dog ankle biting" posts are gonna have any effect on that. Good luck in August.... you're gonna need it.

Just to let you USU fans know. I like to talk sh*t to opponents so take no offense. It's what I do. In all honesty it will be an enjoyable game
We are both 0-0. There is no reason. Facts are, UThad a great recruiting class full of talent and a very good team to put on the field.
Congrats on your vast knowledge of BAMA football.
I'm not sure what it has to do with the price of tea in Tahiti, but well done!
Looking forward to the game in August. While UT has been down some, it is still a great opportunity for Utah State.
Why are you so caught up in past seasons? You really want to start comparing pasts?
How about give some actual reason you believe usu wins?
#23 Nc State
#9 South Carolina
2009 - UGA 45-19 (ranked top 25)
2009 - USC 31-13 (ranked top 25)
2010 - Ole Miss 52-14
Not to mention Vandy and KY all of those years...and Utah State equivalent teams by about 21+ points each (but that's just what we do).
Face it, dude. Utah State is a bullsh!+ school, with bullsh!+ teams. You have no chance of beating the Vols on August 30th, even if Tom Brady were your qb. I'm sorry you've wasted a lot of time coming on here and defending your team, but it is what it is. Come to Neyland this Fall and see what a real school looks like. Then cry your a$$ all the way back to Mormon country.
You can point to all the 3 year data and "who have you beaten" logic you want. The fact remains that UT is a more talented team... and it ain't close. If the coaching and development are good then you won't be calling it an "opportunity" this fall.
It is really just this simple... even though I know you'd love to avoid it.... UT has bunches of players who are bigger, faster, stronger, and more talented than USU. While I still have some reservations, they are coached by a staff that has won championships in a BCS conference. They are supported by top 10 facilities and player resources. What that all adds up to is a very long afternoon for you.
USC = 10 (Massey Composite)
Cincinatti = 29
Vandy = 41
WKU = 71
USA = 78
Heisman candidate QB
RB from injury with great hands and great speed
Deep receivers
Extremely strong LB group
Experience in big games in big stadiums
Reasons that make me hesitate
UT combo of size and speed on DL
Unproven CB
Loss of NFL caliber center
Keetons knee, but he's practicing today which is 12 weeks ahead of schedule.
UT doesn't bother me on offense. I doubt UT breaks 28. The ability to move the ball worries me though.
LOL. Really? Massey rankings? Massey has no means of correcting for the quality of competition. A victory over a 5-7 Kansas team would essentially count the same as a win against UT and MORE than a win over UF. I can guarantee that ANY coach would choose to play Kansas over the other two with the same record.
We're ignoring those wins in 2009. He wants to talk the past all day but he only wants to go back 3 years. Aka since they've been halfway relevant.
I have not and will not say UT sucks. I do think some UT fans have an inflated sense of where the program is today.
Are not the wins and losses the wins and losses? I don't know how you argue much about these.
Your very proud program is not historically a Top 10 program. Where did you come up with that?
My "BS" is based on facts, records, scores, rankings, etc. These facts seem to be something some UT fans are not able to comprehend.
I have looked more at the two rosters than I normally would for a game like this... and I don't think I'm going to be surprised. For instance, UT's OL will avg an inch or two in height more and about 15 lbs more without sacrificing athleticism.I agree with most of your post. UT has many advantages. $$, resources, home crowd, etc.
I'm not sure I'm conceding bigger or stronger. I believe there will be less difference there than you think.
I believe if you make the game you'll have a nice time seeing the Smoky Mtns. I think you'll have the experience of a lifetime visiting Neyland. I also think you have set yourself up to be very disappointed with the competitiveness of the game.UT will be faster and more talented.
I still believe it will be a closely contested game.
