USU Scrimmage

Ok so I'm probably way behind, but I have to ask this. Is it legit that you are Travis Stephens? I read back and found that someone said it's verified. If true I spent many Saturdays watching and enjoying your time at UT.
That's what my momma named me. Our team appreciated the love from the fans. You all are what made it possible for the success, and now I'm a fan.

Don't look dumb in front of your friends. Do a little homework.

I did. Read the public info. To say you can basically take point margins and records blindly without considering the difference in competition levels is not reliable.

I have looked more at the two rosters than I normally would for a game like this... and I don't think I'm going to be surprised. For instance, UT's OL will avg an inch or two in height more and about 15 lbs more without sacrificing athleticism.

I believe if you make the game you'll have a nice time seeing the Smoky Mtns. I think you'll have the experience of a lifetime visiting Neyland. I also think you have set yourself up to be very disappointed with the competitiveness of the game.

The more I look at the two rosters, the more I am led to believe it will be a game much like WKU (another good mid-major expected to come into Neyland and spring an upset).

Trying to work it out so I can make it. Certainly a "bucket list" stadium to go to.

Had the chance to go to Notre Dame and "wake up the echoes" last year. That was really amazing. Not so much for the size or noise, but just the history.

This is awesome. As a fan, we thank you for all the great Saturday afternoons you spent giving everything you had for TN. It was an absolute blast to watch my man.

You all gave me the time of my life. I wish I could repeat everything. Especially the gator game. I remember having a horrible half and a guy in the crowd behind the bench that was a gator fan yelled at me that I was just a "black a** n*gger monkey" along those lines. And I turned around pointed at him smiled and shook my head up and down.....needless to say I had the last laugh. I will always remember that guys face. I want to thank him for giving me the drive I needed to come out of that funk and take advantage of te great o line.

So if that guy is ever on volnation...again thank you. 😁

I'd like to ask you two guys a very serious question. Let's say you can slow UT's running game... I don't think so but let's just say it for argument's sake. Who are you going to have cover UT's receivers? Malone, North, and Pearson are going to be a nightmare for much better D's to deal with. If their development is as advertised then you have guys like Croom playing at a pretty high level too. In the MWC, you will see fast guys who are relatively small or light. You'll see big guys who aren't very fast or quick. You'll see a team with a top shelf WR surrounded by role players. You don't see teams with as many elite WR athletes as you will see vs UT.

Worse yet... you will have situations where a S is going to be locked up on someone who is significantly faster. You may even see your "quick and fast" LB's trying to cover one of those guys.

You are going to face a situation where UT has the athletes to force you to expose your weaknesses. This is a very big part of why I have shifted to a more confident position.

If you want to keep it close then you better come up with a two deep secondary full of SEC caliber athletes... or else you are going to be chasing all day.

Congrats on your vast knowledge of BAMA football.

I'm not sure what it has to do with the price of tea in Tahiti, but well done!

Looking forward to the game in August. While UT has been down some, it is still a great opportunity for Utah State.

Gee, thanks! It appears that I have a firmer grasp of Bama football history than you do of UT.... or USU for that matter, wouldn't you say? Otherwise you wouldn't be coming on here talking ish and poking the sleeping bear.

You seem quite focused on the failures of UTs last 3 seasons. Guess this gives you hope or you know it's the only possible ammo you have for an argument on here. Used Bama example to help illustrate what's gone on with UT lately because it's very similar. UT has taken it on the chin lately like Bama did in the late 90s and early 2000s. And, like Bama did, we're about to get off the mat. Most on here, me included, believe that 2015 is the year we challenge for the SEC title again and start a new string of 9-10 win seasons and top bowl game appearances and annual Top 10-20 rankings.

Either way, you seemed so fixated on UTs last 3 seasons, thought I'd help you with a little history and perspective...... you didn't seem to have a sense of either.

While browsing the usu site I saw where ag4fr has said they will speed up the game on us or something like that, lol. I just hope you know this little piece of info. CBJ has the team running their practices and scrimmages with a 20 second play clock. They are used to playing with 10 seconds or more less than a game would allow. If they don't get the play off before time they are punished. I'm sure up tempo will not be a problem.

Lol @ the USU trolls!
This is their one opportunity this season to go to a message board that is actually active and will respond to their nonsense. Let us give them this moment in their paltry lives considering that most of their opponents don't actually have fans. Just for fun, I will pretend that you are the real Aggies as opposed to the Texas A&M variety. Anything that I can do to help. I am a charitable person and I am willing to do what it takes to get into heaven.

Well, outside of multiple wives, that is. That would be a little slice of hell imo.

Good to hear. I noticed that we typically run 10 to 12 more offensive plays per game than UT.

Perhaps UT is picking up the tempo.

They are

Thinking you are just going to uptempo us to death is stupid. Won't happen.

Watched a few of your games and the offense wasn't as uptempo as your saying.
