If we lose the final and they win theirs they get the 1 seed... if we lose they have to lose also for us to get 1 seed. the gap between the 2 teams is too tight for anything else. And I’m sticking with what I said from the beginning, we win 2 and it’s a lock. Even winning today might be enough but I’d rather just win 2 to be sure. Now we’re looking at back to back quad 1 games, if we win today. Sunday would be another quad 1 game if we made it that far. It’s insane to think we’re closing the season with potentially 7 straight quad 1 games. Regardless, I feel great about where we are and, as I said from the beginning, if we stay within a round of whatever UNC does I think we’ve got it. If they win theirs, we need to make the final to be a lock. If they lose in the final, we just need to make the semis. They lose today and it doesn’t matter what we do.
People who spend hours a day analyzing team data don’t know who will be the one seed, nor do they know which final variables will play regarding tournament games. In fact the split in their disagreement on the topic is very close to 50/50. If they don’t know, you don’t know. In the past we’ve been in a position where over 70% of bracketologists seeded us higher than the selection committee. You don’t know. We don’t know. It’s close. We’ll all enjoy winning tournament games more than losing, and hopefully it will help. Let’s win three games before the bracket release. Wouldn’t that be fun.If we lose the final and they win theirs they get the 1 seed... if we lose they have to lose also for us to get 1 seed. the gap between the 2 teams is too tight for anything else.
Now you’ve shifted the thread from patience, away from mindless speculation. That is definitely no fun.People who spend hours a day analyzing team data don’t know who will be the one seed, nor do they know which final variables will play regarding tournament games. I disagree, especially with no Duke win in play for them. We shall see though. Hopefully Pitt will take care of it and we don’t have to find out!If we lose the final and they win theirs they get the 1 seed... if we lose they have to lose also for us to get 1 seed. the gap between the 2 teams is too tight for anything else.
Nobody was including UNC either. The past month it was just AZ vs TN. .. AZ is clearly out now. Im starting to think it’s some conspiracy ESPN thing to make more people watch the crappy ACC tournament. It was never gonna be “comes down to AZ and TN in their tournaments” on the cover of ESPNWhat’s a wrap, you argued for days that the committee wouldn’t give us a 1 seed?
I have been extremely high on this team all year and have thought that this team could be the one to end our March sadness. Today’s performance has certainly stunted that confidence a bit. This has been pathetic.
