Didn't Alabama just get out of a game against somebody in 2015 iirc, some thinking because of possible future realignment forcing them to play more in conf games? That is my only concern.

Even with realignment, we still have 3 out of conference games and this one is big for publicity/recruiting.

Besides, we already play most of the tough teams every year, at most, we get this game on an LSU/aTm year.

Bristol isn't all that big. It's not like we're playing at Talladega.

Big enough to have a 150,000 seat stadium. But, the size of Bristol is not related to the number that show up...just like in racing.

Away game at Nebraska
Home Game with Connecticut

And then possibly a 9 game SEC slate if we go to that by 2016. How will Tennessee not have the toughest schedule in the nation.

I'm sure Administration worked this out but now it looks like Butch's trip there earlier this year with some of his assistants may have been a scouting trip.

I believe the Nebraska series is being cancelled but I am not for sure because I think they are scheduling the Va Tech game on the date we were suppose to play Nebraska. Also I have a little inside info living in Virginia and Kenny Chesnut is having a concert the Friday night before the game.

Bruton Smith has been trying to do this for YEARS...In fact I read somewhere Va Tech finally accepted, but UT said they wouldn't do it (I think this was around 08-09 that I read it....and no way to know the articles validity)

I really don't see any negative to this game...Unless UT loses, that might hurt recruiting a bit.
