UT's chance at March Madness

MTSU has played a measly four games against Top 100 teams and won 1.

UT played 19 rpt 19 games against Top 100 teams and won 9.

That alone would prompt me to put UT in the dance ahead of MTSU. That's why you've got to schedule some good programs.

They've somehow got the #9 OOC SOS, doesn't seem possible but that's what it says. The issue is they didn't beat any good teams that they scheduled, but #9 looks good.

If ole miss wins tomorrow it looks real good for MTSU, but supposedly field is pretty much set by then so guess it supposedly shouldn't matter idk.

I think Ole Miss is in for sure. The committee will throw them in Dayton and not let the games tomorrow determine who's in and out. They will only affect seeding IMO.

Been away all day.

Lanardi update?

Last update has Boise, La Salle, MTSU and Ole Miss in and Tennessee as first team out...nothing has happened to change that so not sure he'll change it but he may. (he changed it around this morning from last night)

Palm hasn't updated but he had Nova, La Salle, UMASS and Tennessee as last four in...UMASS lost ole miss won so I'm guessing he'll swap those two and leave the others.

Thanks guys!

It would seem to me that lunardi is giving us a lot of hope. Yesterday we weren't even in top 4 out. I am very optimist

Not saying I disagree, but didn't he have us behind UK after last night? How did we pass them? Did we schedule an extra game this morning?

No he did what I've been telling everyone he does, juggling it as much as possible to gain attention from different markets. Last night after his last update he says don't hold me to it gonna do some research, then this AM updates it where we jump UK. We all hollered it last night, it was common sense Bama>Vandy, but it took him 12 hours to realize.

It why I also quit paying attention to his infatuation with UVA. We trailed them this AM, but with Maryland's loss we jumped UVA? Makes sense right.

Yeah I meant to give you credit BTO, you pretty much nailed it. That's exactly what Lunardi did. He was over-reactionary so more people would pay attention.

Good call. :hi:

I think Boise, Ole miss are in...MTSU, La Salle and TN fighting for 2 spots.

So I guess going off that i give us 66.6666667% chance, that's my best guess.

He works for ESPN, it's all about ratings, web page views etc. his love for UVA just made no sense.

The fact middle will have nobody from their Conference office fighting for them really hurts then IMO.

Anybody else buy that is a factor

Yeah I guess it was pretty obvious. I mean you look around and no matter where you look, you wouldn't find Virginia anywhere near the tournament picture. Lunardi was the only one that had them even close.

If one of the committe members has ties to sunbelt it may hurt, but idk if any do.

It's my understanding that conference offices provide data/propaganda for schools within their perspective leagues to the committee. If that's true then I suspect a half hearted effort from the sunbelt with the terrible relationship they have as evidenced by the bowl game screw job the blue raiders got.

I have no idea how that part works, so I will hope you're right :)
