He does. He also has a ton of pressure from others not to. Especially from local VT fans. His family really likes Josh Heupel, and BJM. UT has gained a ton of traction here. But outside pressure is there and it's loud. All I'm saying.

This is sounding like a guy who’s Vol unless something derails that or shocks him in a negative way.

It sounds like a young man who is almost hopefully UT checks all the boxes.

My take: Y’all sound like you’re reading what you want to hear here. He likes a lot of schools and we are behind in his recruitment. He said good stuff about us but he’s not going to say bad stuff and I heard nothing that screams Vol. Until we hear what he says coming out of his visit, we’re another option.

He wouldn’t be visiting this late in the process (for him) if he didn’t have legit interest.

I can see that. I live not too far from this kid in Virginia. I have plenty of VT friends, and they’re pretty excited right now about recruiting, going better than it has in awhile. They’ve got five 4stars currently in the class, including two that they picked up this month. My guess is they’re selling Cole on being a centerpiece of the recruiting class. That comes with a lot of local pressure.

Hopefully we knock it out of the park and he commits to the good guys.

Having his teammate and his best friend committed to Tennessee would help take some pressure off IMO.

This visit is on his own dime(or his parents). You're correct in not jumping the gun until after the visit, but the interest is legit. This isn't a hat on the table visit. The visit may make him hold off on a decision until he takes an official, or he may see enough(coupled with Lewis in his ear), to commit to somebody in August.

I live 15 mins from VT and 20 from Salem. I know some people. Actually alot. Including an ex VT coach that I won't name. It's legit interest with him and his family. There is a ton of pressure from VT fans to go there or also if it VT for him to NOT go to Tennessee.

He should probably listen to the local VT fans. He could go to VT without his self-proclaimed best friend, maybe win as many games in 4 years there as he would win at UT in 1 or 2, and not get developed into a future NFL player. All the locals will be happy though.

Looked into him a while back when Lewis was trending. Wife's BFF went to the same school in Salem. Seemed to barely be on our radar at the time.
