'26 VA RB Savion Hiter

It will be hard with not having a strong in-state class to pull from but got some great ones at the top and NC is in-state now soooooooo

But I've been saying for a while I think this class should be top 5-6 for sure. The only thing is they gotta land a damn tackle. In on so many great guards
Osenda. Vols to lose.

Per Wiltfong on Tennessee visit

“My visit was great!” Hiter told On3. “Their game day vibe was like no other, definitely the loudest and most lit!”

On3’s No. 1 recruit in Virginia and No. 20 prospect overall, the 5-foot-11 1/2, 205-pound Hiter believes he could flourish as a player in Knoxville.

“Watching the running backs go to work caught my eye for sure,” Hiter said. “Could definitely see myself in that offense.”

Right. Ray said Michigan and Tennessee are out front.
Oh, when was that? Georgia allegedly made a serious move on his most recent visit when they played Tennessee. He was extremely positive about them (not surprising), but it seemed pretty over the top. Maybe he's like that for every visit though.

Ray said that in the last week or two. Maybe it was before the Georgia visit.

There will be plenty of attention on Savion Hiter this week as he is set to be one of the 2026 prospects to compete at the Under Armour All-American game in Orlando. We continue to believe the Vols have done a nice job in the recruitment of the prized running back, who has a list of heavy hitters in pursuit.

Of course. Do not understand why we can’t get a five star RB in this offense with the numbers it produces.
This is the one position that stars arent as important, specifically in our offense. Look at Bishop for example. Sure, if we had a 5 star we might break an explosive run here or there, but with our splits and how opponents defense lines up sets our running game up nicely

Does it matter? The backfield produces every year.
Yes it does. The same people for the past 3 years saying that it doesn't matter who we have at wide receiver because our scheming will beat anyone. Right.

If it's not clear to anyone here that it's always been about the Jimmy's and Joe's then you probably shouldn't be in the recruiting forum (for the soul purpose we don't have to read your post).

Do you think a 5 star would outperform Sampson or Wright the past two years? Would those rushing performances not be considered the level of a highly touted 5 star recruit?

This offense has numerous issues — running the ball has never been one.
