Vaccine or not?

Confirming what scientist have been saying.

Vaccination protects against Covid-19 more strongly than previous infection does, CDC study finds

Laboratory-Confirmed COVID-19 Among Adults Hospitalized ...

All eligible persons should be vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible, including unvaccinated persons previously infected with SARS-CoV-2.
What is the justification for vaccinating kids? Kids are the least likely to be hospitalized or die from COVID. Is it to protect the kids or to protect the parents/older folks?

IDK about you, but I didn't have to get vaxxed nor did I ever put on a mask because of Joe Biden. I've barely had to wear a mask at all this year.

Your focus is too narrow. Trump was an enemy to freedom in his own way.
I am wearing a mask right now because of Biden. Public transit. But I guess because it's a small person problem, you dont care.

Got my booster last week other than a sore arm I had no side effects. I felt worse after the flu shot actually. But if people don’t want to get it they shouldn’t be forced to get it should be personal choice
Agreed, I complied rather than lose my cushy govt. job. No side effects at all after both Pfizer jabs

What makes you small and me big?

Sorry for the inconvenience but the government should have a say when it comes to public transit. It's about as unlibertarian to use public transit as it is to not care about masks on public transit.

You're not going to vote or sue your way out of this...

Well let's talk about this. First of all, why does someone need a religious exemption? Can't an atheist object? Secondly, I have yet to see a compelling religious argument for or against vaccination. Even if a religious exemption wins at some point, that doesn't help the others who refuse vaccinations. Shouldn't their objections count too? If this battle is fought on religious grounds, it's a loser either way

Nobody I've seen is disagreeing with this here. The answer "no" should always be enough.

Second point: what you or anyone else thinks about "religious arguments" is irrelevant. In America we have freedom of religion. If a pastafarian wants to object because the FSM told them in a dream that the vax is bad, that's enough.

3rd in population, 7th in death. Almost 10 million more people than number 7, 21 vs 11.

Also 5th in average age.

Context matters. Florida did better what the average would say they did.
Remember when people like the poster you responded to were raging about COVID being out of control in Sweden and now Sweden is A-OK?

It's as if things like herd immunity and protecting the vulnerable work over the course of an outbreak. Science!

I think the court was clear that it'll take more than that to get an exemption. Furthermore, why do I have to have a dream or a nutty Pastor to get an exemption?

Again, nobody is disagreeing with you here. You shouldn't.

I am in a position where I will either have to get it or be fired by December. Why can't I just say no? Why do I have to hide behind my church? It's a blatant violation of rights.

I think that's the tact us freedom lovers should take.

For the record, I gladly got my vax but I 100% support your right not to and I do not want gov't forcing anyone to get the needle jammed into them. We ought not set that precedent.

The 9th Amendment covers an individual, no matter their religious status. This should be the path the "because I don't want to" crowd should take into court. Not saying that will save you, but it is quite obvious that the religious exemption argument won't fly.

Normally there are 3 state law exemption routes, religious, medical and philosophical. Some states allow for only one, some two and some have all three on the books.
This federal crap appears to have eliminated some state law exemption routes if it’s only letting religious be presented.
As for religious exemptions, I think it’d be harder to receive a denial if “free will of choice bestowed by God to each human” were the reasoning being used. That could possibly be turned into a 1A issue if done correctly and denied.

Well this is different.

LOL

I'm still not getting your 'vaccines'.
