Vaccine or not?

What really pisses me off is that most healthcare workers never skipped a beat caring for patients, many of us contracting the virus in the process, fighting it off, and gaining powerful immunity. Meanwhile, another segment of our population hid at home like ginormous pussies and called us heroes. Fast-forward 20 months and we are going to be fired if we don't comply with these new rules which include no acknowledgement of the immunity we gained while battling your pandemic.

GTFO.
Another created crisis that the left will "solve".

The clown show mostly happens on social media and is stoked by tv talking heads. I hardly notice our political divide when I'm out and about living my daily life.
I agree Huner. I have friends, some really good friends that have pretty much completely opposite views politically. It’s amazing that we can discuss those things, find what common ground we can, and disagree on the rest while still remaining friends. Social media is a huge problem but only so much as you let it be.

You equate covid to the common cold?

What in the hell is wrong with you ???

CDC stated that the number of COVID cases is double what is being reported. Currently there is 46.4 million cases. So by using the CDC, that’s a total of 92.8 million cases.

Currently, data shows 754k “deaths”. So let’s use a little math. I rounded up to make it an even 93 million cases. So 754k/93000000x100= 0.81%. That’s the death rate from COVID. Less than 1%.

Several will retire, I’ll go to a private hospital or into private home care. I can take care of ventilated patients at home, I’m qualified.

If you can find another job with a hospital that has less than 100 employees, great but I gotta believe that won't work for a lot of these people.

C'mon folks. Get real and don't make me take the side of ambulance chasing liberals here again but...

It is ludicrous to imply in any way that survival rates of the common cold and C19 are similar. There is NO comparison. The flu is far more dangerous than the common cold and the C19 death rates for that are far below C19. Covid deaths were about 377K in the USA last yr. The number is even higher this year. Flu deaths are generally in the 30K-50K range.

You health professionals who post frequently here: be fair. Don't let this misinformation go unchallenged. I hate the mandates, shutdowns and 100 different ways liberals have handled this pandemic, but don't state that the common cold is anywhere near as deadly as C19

CV19 is significantly more dangerous to older adults and those with serious comorbid conditions than cold viruses. However, influenza is actually more dangerous than CV19 in children.

You do realize that they are going to go after the employers with less than 100, right?

They are not going to let anyone off the hook.
Yep. They started talking about their plan the other day on how they’ll start enforcing that.

I am hopeful this whole thing gets thrown out by the courts and that the Dems as a party pay a hefty political price for this but I have to believe most healthcare workers cannot afford to retire and there will not be enough other jobs for them to go to

You have far too much faith in this corrupt system ACB, Roberts and Kavanaugh are not going to go against the mandates. They are worthless.

I get it. Here's my "guess", not necessarily my prediction:

I think employer mandates will be upheld but decrees from the White House vis OSHA will be rejected. If Congress were to pass a law, it'd be legal but I don't think Biden can make this call on his own

I believe governors and state legislators carry the most authority here. I guess Congress might but I’d expect states to sue.

I think if you live in a state where the Governor or state legislature forces a mandate it would be upheld.

I don't even think a Governor could force a mandate. I think it'd have to be law and go through the legislative process. So I do think government has a right to impose a mandate but it has to be a law
