Vaccine or not?

SS ain’t going away either - political scare tactics

Political scare tactics? Are u insane? The solvency of EVERY social program is under threat with a 30T debt. The printing presses wont run forever. In fact, they will stop running before Miami is under water

I didn’t technically work for amazon. They give their delivery contracts to company’s that are directly under them. So it might differ from DSP (delivery service partner) to DSP, but Mine made the vaccine mandatory
I see. Well best of luck to you.

I no longer argue that the vaccine is a good thing…..which it is for most……over these tyrannical mandates.

In New York they are pushing a vaccine for everyone above 5 to have proof of vaccine to be in public.
No exemption for those who had and recovered from Covid.
So no looking at science what so ever.
It’s literally a “papers please “ situation.

This new Pfizer pill puts a real wrinkle in the mandate in my opinion.

Their study says it can be taken up to 5 days from being diagnosed positive and had a 80 some percent of success at 5 days and 90 some at 3 and works on the high at risk.

To me this makes the mandate unnecessary, as the virus now seems highly treatable.

The red women and I were just discussing that.
She said that very thing.

The clown show mostly happens on social media and is stoked by tv talking heads. I hardly notice our political divide when I'm out and about living my daily life.

It’s on the news every single day and night. I mean every news media outlet is doing their part to make the clown show even worse.

What really pisses me off is that most healthcare workers never skipped a beat caring for patients, many of us contracting the virus in the process, fighting it off, and gaining powerful immunity. Meanwhile, another segment of our population hid at home like ginormous pussies and called us heroes. Fast-forward 20 months and we are going to be fired if we don't comply with these new rules which include no acknowledgement of the immunity we gained while battling your pandemic.

GTFO.
The left is good at casting aside anyone whose 'usefulness' to them has waned. Just ask that chick who testified against Justice Kavanaugh.

I’m of the same mindset as are many of my coworkers. They will be leaving.

Yeah.

But here's the kicker.

Where do you set the p value for approval for a drug or vaccine? Across non-medical statistics study, a p value < 0.05 is the standard. Medical outcomes are held to the much more difficult to achieve 0.01 threshold.

We're seeing a significant amount of emotional manipulation that makes it appear as if that 0.01 number is some loosey goosey irresponsible threshold when it's the limiting factor that has kept multiple drugs off the market. Tighten it up any more, say to 0.005, and you're going to see almost all prescriptions taken off the shelves.

So ignoring the emotional manipulation, what's the acceptable threshold?
I dont know. It's been 18 months and the all knowing government has yet to establish one.

Personally if the risk is under 1% it's not worth worrying over. 5% I change habits on. 10% I would be willing to accept common sensical (lol) mandates from the government.

Granted on the macro scale those are terrifying numbers, but personally it's a non starter.

The main thing for me is the context. The numbers/stastics dont exist in a vacuum, so the surrounding info is almost as important as the number/stat itself.

That’s not the only issue though. 20% lose sense of smell and taste for ever. That’s still your risk to take if you choose but for some reason we only talk about the death rate.
20% of those who experience symptoms.

Pretty much any sickness out there has the potential for lasting effects. Personally have dealt with one of the 'condratis after having the flu as a kid. I was like 8 or 9 so I dont remember the specifics but I was treated/or got over it too, eventually.

Its novel in what it does, but it's not novel in it's the first to have lasting effects.

There's been some questions here about OSHA. This was in today's hospital communication:

"CMS/OSHA Vaccination Mandate: Healthcare facilities are now required to demonstrate COVID vaccination for all employees and providers by January 4th unless they qualify for an exemption. There is no testing option as an alternative to vaccination offered by CMS for healthcare facilities, and prior COVID infection is not considered according to the 214 pages of rules released yesterday. In order for someone unvaccinated to comply they will need to receive their first dose by Dec 5th and a second dose by Jan 4th"
So like people who get fake ID'S I wonder if there will be a market for a fake Vax card? Not saying I would or if it's possible just something that I thought of and I know others have to be also. Or I may just watch to many movies.
