Until Ford stepped in, they weren't going to let private businesses decide if people had to wear masks in their private establishments. Legislature is pandering.

I'm not completely wrong. What is the end result of regulatory capture? And is not forcing people to do things like get health insurance or pay a "tax" effectively the same thing? You're even posting this in a thread where it's continually shown your own government is attempting to force you to patronize one of a small handful of pharmaceutical companies (ps: you've already paid those companies).

The stupid semantics game from lolbertarians in the right wing is why companies all around literally own the politicians here.

It's not a talking point. It's an issue that forever needs to be remembered. Don't allow only one voice to drive that narrative in emergency situations. Don't allow one person to become the face if they aren't the leader. It's that simple.
Biden and Trump can both have handled this like ****. And it's ok to admit that. Plus his decision is still impacting us.

So no not completely. Let’s take my case for example. My skills are tuned to a specific market segment, the defense market. What makes me worth the 35 years of experience is a position within the defense sector. The idiot in chiefs mandate locks me out if that sector if it’s upheld unless I’m willing to inject something in my body that I may not want there. Now I’m free to get a job in the private sector but my earnings are greatly diminished. As my skills aren’t tuned for that market. So yes quite a few highly skilled people are in fact forced to patronize a business or group of businesses or have the income generation capacity highly diminished due to a ridiculous over reaching mandate. That’s complete ********.

I've got a small business and if a wave of covid runs through my place and shuts down three or four people for two or three weeks, that's two or three weeks I'm not making any money and paying their sick time out of savings. Its not all about big corporate running amok.
I'll add my usual caveat that I have never implemented a requirement and if I did, I would also have a testing option.

My opinion of him has changed greatly. Would you like me to go back and repost all the lies from the internet you fell for? And the second part of my statement is true. He wasn't out to attack or hurt trump. He's just myopic and that makes him dangerous. He's also only concerned about one part of this pandemic. When multiple issues have to be considered

You apparently misunderstand my position, I’m 100% opposed to all government mandates from the local level all the way to DC. No level of government should be telling people including employers that they have to be vaccinated or they can’t choose to set their own policies.

Yep. You called me out similarly on that crap Powell was doing and I posted my revised opinion. I still boggle at how attorney ethics and character apparently have a price tag on them. Not a profession I’m equipped for.
