Vaccine or not?

I see both sides here. I think corporations suck, particularly right now. Government, particularly federal, also sucks. You shouldn't ask government to fix the corporations because they don't have your side in this. They'll just use that as an opportunity to leverage their power. I don't know if I've become Libertarian during all this. I still see a role for local governments. But I think the federal government should practically be obliterated. Constitution and military. That's it. In the meantime, make sure your local governments, particularly health departments that have become authoritarian during this, get cleared out.

Minimal regulation sounds nice, but who decides what is minimal?

Again, when left to its own "freedom" a growing business will naturally tend towards looking just like a government whether there is a government "allowing" it or not- depriving individual liberties, removing the information to allow the market to function (the real key to a "free" market), effectively cartel-izing, etc.

WTH are you talking about? I know you have started and ran a small business so please explain how you looked like a government.

People love to bish about corporations, but they don't acknowledge the fact that many small businesses are corporations or llcs. When I see this, it makes me think, "there's somebody who hasn't had to make the tough decisions it takes to run a business."

If we’d just shut down all of these evil corporations we’d all be happier. Maybe have tge government take them over to protect us.

My beef is with the original sin. Forcing mandates on businesses/corporations. If a company wants to try and force something like this that’s between the company and the employees and most likely the courts if they company is big enough. My chicken **** company is happy to do this crap but wouldn’t have the spine without fed top cover

Corporations are doing a lot of things recently that I'd prefer they stop:
Claiming 100% renewable when you don't pick where your electrons are coming from.
Forcing political conversations in the workplace that don't belong in the workplace.
Asking for a vaccine mandate to cover their asses.
Acting like anybody who questions masks is killing everyone (still no real world data that shows effectiveness of masks).
Going work from home and acting like it's awesome, and should all enjoy our time in the matrix farm.
Using their sway to calling voter security laws racist.

....still don't want government to fix, although I don't mind Tennessee state legislatures doing what they can to stop the covid mandates.

All these conservatives wanting the .gov to step in and make people pay them.

I hope all of you that are applauding the TN Legislature are aware they have put us in a position of either breaking federal law or breaking state law.

Enjoy sweating like every damn employee that doesn’t want this forced on them then. How does it feel hot shot? Not to worry though since 27 states have taken the correct action to sue in court and have the mandates removed.

See the thing is, I'm not the government. You don't have to play by my rules hot shot.
Edit: I really love how the pro-business arch-conservatives are so pliable when they don't actually have to make the business decisions.

Why should you get exempt from the pain hot shot? Many people are getting things forced on them they don’t like and directly impacting their livelihood. Sucks don’t it?

Maybe the employers should align with the employees and tell the Feds to piss off.

I dont approve of the government vax mandate and I don't approve of the government anti-vax mandate. Its the decision of the business owner.

Yep. But you have to chose a side for dodgeball even if you don’t want to. Just like your employees. Sucks don’t it?

Remember it next time you’re in the voting booth.

Too bad we're not playing dodgeball. I'm not going to go down the "ND40 makes up an argument" path. I don't have to agree with one or the either. I can think both things suck.
Edit: I guess if the state or feds threaten to pop me with a huge fine, I can fire everybody and retire. Doesnt matter to me who does it. Probably doesn't matter to my employees either.

They do both suck. And I didn’t make this argument the idiot in the WH did. Yeah right now you have to chose. Just like every other individual in America that doesn’t want this jab and is being forced to make a choice on their livelihood or their personal health choices. So now you can roll out “well just go work somewhere else don’t make this my problem” weak **** response.

Sure. Go ahead even. That will show those employees good job!

Honestly, I'm under 100. Feds aren't making me do anything, but the state is. And those that are over 100, they obviously don't care about. If the state thinks its unconstitutional they should file a lawsuit, get an injunction (keeping people from having to get a government mandated vax if they don't want), and argue it. They didnt, they chose to grandstand and subject the businesses in the state to a catch-22.

They did. TN is one of 27 states that sued. So you can tell yourself what every other employer is telling their employees right now which is to wait and let the process work thru the courts. Not very damn reassuring is it?

I wish you had the choice to chose how you manage your business in this situation. Unfortunately the ass hole in the WH took that option from you. Now you get to sit tight and see how it turns out… just like the rest of us commoners
