Vaccine or not?

I've considered myself a libertarian for many years before COVID. But when you see the level of fascism (merging of state and corporations) going on right now, there is a glaring blind spot in the libertarian ideal. Also, it is amazing seeing how many of these libertarians are siding with the overreach of the state and corporations with regards to these COVID restrictions.
I'm beginning to think some disaffected democrats and Republicans are claiming to be Libertarians. And they are doing so without even reading the Libertarian Party platform or researching the history of the Libertarian Party or Libertarianisn in general. I see nothing where the Libertarian Party says it's okay for anyone to try to impose a medical treatment on another person. Government, private business, or otherwise.

As long as I feel like it. You and I differ on the vaccine. I don't think its foolproof, but I do believe that it lowers the severity of infection and makes it less likely to be transmitted based on what I've read and conversations with people who know more than I do about these things.
I know people who had covid that were vaccinated and had more severe symptoms than ones who weren't. Also, Dakota Dozier (guard for the Vikings) who was fully vaccinated is in the hospital. And then there have been athletes who have been fully vaccinated that still caught covid. Yet, the media is obsessed with Aaron Rodgers.

Also. In Ireland over 80% of the population is vaccinated. Yet they have had a spike in new cases recently. Same with some other countries too.

Wait. What are you suggesting? I had Quest Diagnostics (similar to LabCorp) run an antibody test on me last week. Haven't gotten results back yet...
I’m suggesting that you get a positive or negative only. There are no reference ranges offered. With any titre a reference range is offered for your result.
This is just an example.

All labcorp results only have positive or negative.

Do you find it odd that some labs are returning results on antibodies with no reference ranges?

I shared this before in this thread. Only an antidote, but I found it extremely odd.

I had an antibody test done at a cvs. It was related to work and travel. Standard questionnaire before going in, including vax status.

Making small talk with the nurse and she told me that she hadn’t seen a positive antibody test in anyone who wasn’t vaccinated.

I asked her how long she’d been doing it (since COVID started) and then asked if she found that a little odd. She thought about it a moment and then changed the subject.

And?

So you don't know long term effects of the shot but you know the long term effects of the the disease and shot in kids? Stop. You don't know **** .
We actually do know that kids hardly even spread it and that the rates of hospitalization are near zero. I doubt they're going to just wake up ten years from now with damage due to an imperceptible COVID case, but I'm not a doctor so who knows? Maybe this one works differently than every other illness there is.

We also know that the "vaccine" has legitimate short term dangers for certain age groups, the child formulations were modified to include a substance to help with cardiac arrest, and that different countries around the world have suspended use for the young due to these and like concerns.

Truth is: nobody knows the long (1-2+ year) effects of either. However, we can extrapolate from other respiratory (including Corona-) viruses in children and make an educated guess that there is a very, very low risk of life-long repercussions from natural infection in children. There's really no great comparison to make an educated guess on the long-term implications of mRNA vaccines that cause spike protein production in children, women of childbearing age, pregnant females, offspring of vaccinated women, breastfeeding women, and even adults. That's the hangup for me. The unknown outweighs the infinitesimally-small theoretical benefit of vaccination for the younger population.

Companies got away with paying in company script because they had the local, state and federal government backing them. Read up on the mine wars in WV and VA during the early 1900s, when the employees fought back the government brought in troops to get them back under ground.
You can't point to 1 single instance of a corporation oppressing individual liberty without permission from the individual.

The problem I have with this rationale is you're essentially saying the individual is not oppressed because he has the ability to fight back against the corporations (with violence in the company script example). Do we really want a situation where a company, or a group of companies in coordination, have the ability to oppress an entire labor market such that the individuals have no choice but to "fight back"? It seems to me the preferable principle should be to err toward the side of forcing companies to respect individual freedom of their employees. I could see a future where the vaccine mandates are the first step and individuals with a CCL ,for example, are unemployable by the majority of businesses.

Customs and Border Protection May Lose Thousands of Agents Due To Vaccine Mandate

As illegal immigration surges, the Biden administration threatens to toss unvaccinated law enforcement officials

Nearly one in five staff members at Customs and Border Protection have not received a COVID-19 vaccine, putting thousands of the agency's employees in line for termination as the Biden administration struggles to secure the border.

About 18 percent of the CBP workforce were not inoculated by Nov. 8, meaning about 12,000 employees risk losing their jobs if they do not receive a religious or medical exemption by Nov. 22, according to internal documents reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. The Office of Personnel Management said federal agencies may impose disciplinary action, such as suspension or termination, against unvaccinated employees after Nov. 9.
