See the issue is, the little league game is in Athens, AL and the Mexican restaurant is in Dickson, TN; those places are Covid Petri dishes and because they’re occupied by a different socioeconomic class of people than Williamson County or their part of Nashville.

I used to have to be fit tested for a mask every so often for something like confined space training. Guys with beards were automatically rejected because the mask wouldn't seal on their face. I remember having to breathe a noxious smell they put close to the mask to see if it worked or not. I don't miss work one bit.

@AthensVol2007 the stadium next to the middle school was dedicated by The Bear in spring of 1976. That was the "new" HS stadium when I was there.

I’m actually surprised it’s only that old lol. That school is rough looking. They’re using it as the new Athens Elementary now.

Middle school is now in the “old” HS on Hwy 31 and the old middle school on Forrest, south of downtown (has a football stadium) is now the elementary I believe. I know they have some honors/special academy classes in there.

I have no clue how old the school on Forrest is. It was old when I went there for Jr High.

They first held classes there in January of 75 i think. We would have to get bussed back to play football in 75. I am probably off on the dates, its been a minute.

The CDC guidance "granting" different rules for quarantine for the "vaccinated" is hilarious, considering the vaccinated are catching COVID and spreading COVID at the same clip as normal people.

Neither my wife nor myself are vaccinated and have had COVID. I've had the least severe symptoms. My wife had the worst fever but nothing else. Dad, three shots in, has had worst lingering stuff.

Now it's very likely this is attributable to age, fitness, etc., but again we were told all at the start (and the quarantine "rules" now reinforce this) that vaxxed people don't get it and can't spread it.

Not arguing with you per se but I would posit that the unvaccinated could be considered equally abnormal. About 99% of the reasons that I have seen for not getting vaxed are pretty ****ing weird.

The interview was by People Magazine and it was published on the 28th, but was conducted a few weeks before. The whole interview is behind a paywall, so can't speak on if she even said she was boosted.
