Vaccine or not?

A mother expecting means she is young or young enough to have a child and in the 99.99999% survivability rate. Having covid will give her and the baby antibodies naturally. These miscarriages could have been prevented.

I blame the mom/parents on this a bit but at the same time so much data wasn't being shared for really anyone to make a thought out decision.

Still, my main reason for not taking it was it being developed, tested, and administered all in 7 to 8 months. That's all the data I needed to tell me I wasn't taking it.

One of my wife's best friends is pregnant and just went for her booster shot the other day. I don't wish it on anybody but I told my wife to just watch and see what complications she has. I hope and pray I'm wrong.

My wife had co workers convinced by their OB-gyn to get the shots. Granted this was when the Delta variant was going around that was much more dangerous. Luckily their pregnancies turned out fine and they have healthy baby boys.

Glad to hear they were healthy. I've seen a few articles and I believe there is actually a website that is set up so you can enter the batch number of your shot and track and see the different adverse reactions that are tied directly to your batch. Apparantly there are a few batches that are responsible for a pretty high percentage of all of the adverse reactions.

They tried pushing my wife to get the vax while she was pregnant. After the 3rd or 4th time she told them to put in her file she did not want the vax and to not ask about it again. My 4 month old is very healthy.

I'm not anti-vax. Fully vaccinated, with the booster. But I am anti-mandates. For me, it's not about whether the vaccines work or not. It's about people being free to choose for themselves. I'm fine with stats being shown that the vaccine works. I'm fine with those stats being used to try and convince people they should get vaxxed. I'm not fine trying to use those stats that people should be forced to take the vaccine against their will. Give people the facts and let them make their choice. That's how this country is supposed to work IMO.

@kiddiedoc im sure you’ve commented on this, but haven’t followed this thread too close lately. But do private practices fall under the vaccine mandate? I’m assuming so if you take Medicare/Medicaid?

No, private practices are not affected. If my documents are not accepted, the local hospital will be looking for a new Director of Pediatrics, and I will lose my courtesy privileges at Children's. Neither of which affects me at all, really. It does affect the hospitals who will have to search for alternative staff to administrate and cover call.

Any word if the hospitals over there will be honoring medical and religious exemptions?
