Vaccine or not?

The problem is there were not proper warnings of some of these side effects. Also a case could be made these side effects were avoidable if proper long term safety data was allowed to be collected.

But see it doesn’t matter sifting through all of that when the EUA shot was the one going in.
(c)Direct warnings
No vaccine manufacturer shall be liable in a civil action for damages arising from a vaccine-related injury or death associated with the administration of a vaccine after October 1, 1988, solely due to the manufacturer’s failure to provide direct warnings to the injured party (or the injured party’s legal representative) of the potential dangers resulting from the administration of the vaccine manufactured by the manufacturer.

I’m not talking about the manufacturer. I’m talking about the FDA. They rushed this out with no long term safety data. Their cover is EUA

They appear to be nearly identical as far as manufacturer liability. The only difference is the source of funding for the government program that pays on a vaccine related injury or death.

You’re moving the goalposts. The whole “EUA matters” schtick is about some liability shield that wouldn’t exist if it was administered under a full authorization. That’s not true. There’s still a liability shield for FDA authorized vaccines. Has been since 1988.

Not moving the goalposts. I never mentioned manufacturer one time. The FDA rushed this. That is a fact based on ZERO long term safety data for this shot. This is about using EUA for cover.

That’s not true. You literally said “only one protects the company from liability under the EUA.” That’s not true, either. Pfizer, aka “the company” doesn’t have liability for their authorized vaccines.

The whole “comirnaty isn’t available because they’re trying to protect the manufacturer” thing is ********. You should add whoever you heard it from to your list of untrustworthy sources.

My bad. I corrected it. I meant to say FDA. They can’t have egg on their face. And the EUA protects them. No long term safety data is a massive risk. I can’t believe they approved that on a 99% survivable virus.

I don’t see how the PREP Act declaration/EUA protects the FDA, either. They’re not liable for vaccine injuries from authorized vaccines anymore than the company is.

Authorized vaccine injuries are paid out of National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.

Covid vaccine injuries are paid out of Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program.

They’re both essentially underwritten by the federal government.

Just a couple of factual clarifications

The virus wasn't 99% survivable if you were old or had major health issues. It was 99.9% survivable if you were young and healthy. Yes, it averaged to around 99% but there was a huge range of estimated outcomes...

I think Pfizer has been FDA approved for over a year and Moderna for several months. I think the EUA is only in effect for babies.

The vaccine right now still isn't working as intended
Nothing is 99% survivable at that age. IIRC the death rate of Covid was pretty synonymous with the average death rate of that age group.

I saw a funny post on Reddit. It said wearing a mask to protect you from COVID is like using an umbrella to prevent you from getting wet in a hurricane. I enjoyed it.

I sincerely don't think it's that high. Just a few months ago, people were upset because so many were unvaccinated. How do you trust any number, when the same people pushing numbers come back later, and admit they were wrong? Not trying to be a butt, I'm sincerely doubting that 80 percent of Americans have been vaccinated. I'd be okay with maybe 50, but not 80.
It’s definitely 75% or above. I don’t know a single person over 65 that hasn’t had at least the first shots. Then you’ve got half the country democrats who you know are on their fourth booster by now. Then so right there alone you’re probably at 65% of the country. Then the people who were pressured through employment. Many of my younger friends who didn’t wanna take it at first were pressured and coerced by their employers. So I’d say 80% is easily accurate.

It's 67.9%. Once you factor in undocumented individuals, right at 65%..

When I said that, 800 people were dying a day in New York, that was what was happening at that time, and people that start calling names in
a debate show their own weakness and lack of vocabulary.

Vicky, you’re my bud, but please don’t bring me into this vile forum. I’ll end up getting banned. Sigh, I’ll look through this crap and TRY to show some restraint.

This “ vile forum “ thanks you for gracing it with your presence . Go ahead and roll the dice , I’m intrigued now . Lol

Ok.

So last question -

“IF” the CDC said tomorrow “we made a mistake, we were wrong about the vaccines.”
Would that change your view?
Late to this, if the CDC came out and said they miscalculated about the scope of the illness and longevity of it, it doesn’t change how she or anyone else that works in customer service feels about infecting elder family members with a virus that knowledge about is still evolving.

She came in here and literally said “vaccine or ventilator, your choice”. It was and still is 100% bullsh**.

Maybe she was thinking about her parents situation and their medical concerns and it scares her to think they could contract it. I have elder parents and I run behind them constantly to make sure they don’t trip and fall with their unsteady gait. Everyone’s family concerns are different.

Someone posted “vaccines don’t prevent you from catching covid”, and her response to them was “vaccine or ventilator, your choice”. She’s just as bad as the fools who demanded businesses shut down, children be kept out of school and sports/after school activities, and all the other illogical stupidity that has gone on with covid. She can get as many vaccines and boosters as she chooses, but spreading 100% bullsh** lies like she did deserves to bd called out.

There's been a lot of bull$hit lies that need to be called out from both sides here...

She believes what she believes, probably doesn’t change anyone’s minds that think differently. I work in healthcare, probably why she @ me. I have my views and they will stay with me. One person’s bullsh** is another person’s cow pile. Y’all have at it. I don’t care enough.
