Yep. They'll keep rolling over losing teams and they'll keep getting blown out by good teams.... Franklin is good for both, I'll give you that. It's much better than what Vandy is used to which is getting hammered by all comers.

My point was that Missouri actually has a good track record under Pinkel and a winning history overall. It wasn't long ago that they were a top 10 nationally ranked team when they were winning 8, 10, 11 games. To say that "if they can win it, anybody can" sounded like smack talk to me from a fan of a team that has his chest stuck out just a little big after having 2 winning seasons in a row.

Vandy has hit its ceiling... 4 losses in a season doesn't get you contending for anything in the SEC...it just means you'll win more than you lose.

Plus, your statement was false.... Not anyone can win the SEC East.... neither Ky nor Vandy ever has, and they never will..... especially when UT gets rolling again which will be very soon. Just the way it is.

Of course, if you wanna consider "lately" going back to say 1990 or so ......

Why do I think you want to consider "lately" since 2011? I will admit that Vandy has an outstanding baseball program, Coach Corbin has done a great job with the program although he hasn't had much success doing anything in Okla City. Sent my son to his baseball camp a few years back.... great guy.

I like the way you just happened to incorporate the best period in the history of UT basketball (i.e. the Pearl years). Pretty slick there. If that's how this is played, perhaps Vandy fans should just consider the Franklin years when making the football comparison?

What difference does any of this make??? I surely hope y'all got more to puff your chests about than what college team you cheer for?????? :crazy: I will never understand how any of us can get all high and mighty about the on-field/on-court exploits of 18-23 year old kids, most of whom wouldn't even recognize us on the street. The unbelievable arrogance of Vandy fans who talk smack like they're playing for a Natty after doing no better than finishing in the middle of the SEC East after being arguably the worst football program in our nation's history for nearly 100 years is ridiculous. I've honestly never even much considered that Vandy existed until hearing all the arrogance and condescension coming out of West End the last couple of years. Vandy's fans and their classless, arrogant, petulant coach are the only reasons I even respond to anything vanderbilt. I never understood why Coach Cafego despised Vandy like he did..... until now.
