Russia has the upper hand in this. As long as they’ve got troops and military aircraft in the country, we can’t do much without risking international conflict.
I'm sure it's been planned but I don't see us getting directly involved unless some major killing occurs of the citizens. The Maduro folks just ran over civilians with their armored vehicles intentionally. At what point does the US need to get involved? Serious question. I have no idea.There's been hints at it for awhile. One assumes we have planned for this and are prepared to act, if Trump orders it. But for sure he's got isolationists screaming in one ear, and neocons in the other.
