VFL's in MLB and MiLB

The C on those caps stands for Cheap!! Starting Senzel in AAA so they can save another year before he can become a free agent. I know it's just business but it's a terrible way to treat your players.

Objectively, he had a really solid spring but he didn’t do enough to take the spot of any of the Reds infielders. They all had good springs too.

Quick update on minor league assignments so far for vols.

Jordon Rodgers is going to High A with Florida Fire Frogs (braves)
Simcox and Maddox going to AA Erie with the Tigers.
Stewie going to AAA Toledo Mudhens with the Tigers
Senzel is still listed as AA, but I think they have just not updated roster and he will end up at AAA.
Andy Cox is with the reds, not sure where he is starting out.
Vincent (Vince) Jackson is listed as with the High A Palm Beach Cardinals, not sure if it is the most updated list.
Andrew Lee is with the Nationals and I think is still rehabbing from last years surgery.
Drake Owenby is with the Brewers. They have not updated their rosters. I would think he would start in High A or maybe AA.
Kyle Serrano is with the Astros. They have not updated all of the rosters. Would think he sill start season in either Low or High A.

Thanks Buvol. Senzel is at AAA Louisville.

Just FYI....Stevie and Senzel face off against each other on Friday to open the season.

Drake is still in spring training camp getting some therapy. Once he is assigned, which shouldn't be long, it looks like he will be going to AA Biloxi, which of course, is in the Southern League with The Smokies. Drake was with the Biloxi team all spring and had a really good camp. Be good to see another local guy play in front of the home folks for a few games.

I am pissed at myself. I did not know Godley was pitching in SF tonight until I just got in the car and was listening to the game on the radio. I would have been there if I were paying attention.

The great Jon Miller was singing the praises of Zack's breaking ball.

Nice to see him doing well. Hopefully he won’t get jerked around this season by the d backs.

Someone mentioned Andy Cox earlier. I assume he is still rehabbing after his surgery.

Godley is out of options. If they send him down, he has to clear waivers. He wouldn’t last a day before another team picked him up. Unless he just falls apart or does a rehab assignment, his days on the bus are over.

Jon Heyman bit on Godley:

The under-rated Zack Godley (the best No. 5 starter in baseball) is off to a brilliant start, with a 0.64 ERA. He’s doing what they hoped Zack Greinke would do – and at 1/60th the price.
