VFL's in MLB and MiLB

He should have hit 20 bombs a year here. Only the fool GB could stop that

I dunno...he's in his 50th game tonight and has 13...his Jr. year in college he had 15 homers in 50 games...his power started to show his sophomore year when he more than doubled his doubles...his junior year, many of those doubles turned into home runs.

And I might add...no one in the SEC has 20 HR's this year...Kole Cottam at UK had 19...only 4 guys had over 15 this season.

Stewart has more power than cottam and our ballpark is a better hitting park.

Also I am almost Cartain that the fool GB did leave after Stewart sophomore year. So I should have said he would have put up big HRs in his first two years

Cottam has had 46 more at bats than Stew did in 2015 too. KC went from 1 HR as a frosh, to 7HR, to 19 HR currently.

Our last game of 2015 was May 19...Bergeron left on May 26, 2015.

So did Stewart have one year without GB?

I lose track of years

Nevermind I see it.

Ok now I got my timeline down

Aric thomas came in after Stewart's soph year and started playing a big role with the hitters. Stewart only hit 8 Hrs combined in his first two years combined. That's a travesty

PG Grade: 9
Christin Stewart is a 2012 C/OF, 1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Providence Christian Academy. Strong well put together physical build. 6.93 runner, plays multiple positions. Very good arm strength behind the plate, raw footwork on throws, 1.94 best pop time. Very agile with smooth, easy actions at first base, looked inexperienced in the outfield but has the tools to play the position with instruction. Left handed hitter, high hand approach, limited weight shift, good strength in his hands, pull approach, has some bat speed and power potential. Good student.

PG Grade: 8.5
Kole Cottam is a 2015 C with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Knoxville Catholic HS. Nice athletic build, projects physically. Right handed hitter, short compact swing, strong quick hands to the ball, has strength and present bat speed, swings hard and shows gap to gap power, solid overall approach. Low flexible set up defensively, has quick actions, good transfer and arm strength, can improve footwork for more consistent accuracy, soft hands receiving the ball. Good combination of offensive and catching skills and tools and will continue to improve. Very good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team for this showcase.

If Stewart had ever been able to continue to catch he would be in the big leagues and highly paid now.

Those reports back up my thinking on power potenial especially early in college

What I'm saying is that coming out of HS, both have pretty similar write ups, both had a combined 8 HR's through the first two years...I don't think Bergeron is at UK...:p

Lol.

Seriously Stewart hit 65 homeruns in hs. Cottam had 6 his senior year so I don't know how many total but I am guessing well under 20. Not really close in terms of power.

Cottam did a heck of a job developing. I wonder where he is going to be drafted

Well you and I both know what they did in HS is not all that relevant, in the same way a JUCO kid lights it up and then gets to the SEC and can't even get on the field...

We'll find out in about a week or so...June 6th I think...is day 1.

I agree but I also am not going to go crazy about a PG write up either but since you brought it here. I will say this. When they say a prospect has gap to gap power potential that means they are more of a line drive doubles kind of hitter

I'm not going crazy over anything. Hell Todd Helton didn't hit 20 HR's a year, though he did do it his jr. year in 69 games. Stewart had 177 AB, Helton had 258.

Helton was doubles hitter. Perhaps the best doubles guy of his era. Not really a huge HR guy although he hit plenty in colorado
