VFL's in MLB and MiLB

The Braves pummeled Steckenrider tonight....... He gave up 5 runs in one third of an inning as Atlanta trounced Miami 9-2.

Quick updates:
Andy Cox- listed on roster with Dayton Dragons, showing DL, no stats from this year.

Nick Senzel- not played since 5/3, heard it was vertigo, looks like back very soon, with AAA Louisville Bats

Jordon Rodgers, batting .221 with 21 hits in 27 games and 95 at bats. Playing with High A Florida Firefrogs, in Braves organization. Tough league to hit, Jordan's playing time was limited early because of rehab starts by big leaguers or the Bautista experiment. Pretty much playing everyday now.

Kyle Serrano- no stats this year. Pitched in rookie ball last year. Short season a ball starts soon, Astros have not completed those rosters. Might be in extended spring.

Hunter Martin- also with Astros. List him on short season A ball Tri-City Valley Cats (partial list). No stats yet from this year.

Christin Stewart- killing it with AAA Toledo Mudhens, .285 average with 12 home runs, 49 hits in 47 games with 172 at bats. If Tigers had done the wise move and put Stewie on the 40 man he would have already gotten some chances in Big Leagues. At a minimum he should be September call up.

Will Maddox- Will missed about a month with leg injury and waiting on some roster moves. Since coming back is playing very well and pretty much everyday. Batting .365, 31 hits, 2 homeruns, 16 runs in 85 at bats. Playing second base and batting second. He is with AJ in AA in Erie (Tigers).

AJ Simcox- Crowded infield in Erie. AJ has played SS, 3B and 2B. Started a little slow hitting, but seems to be heating up. Batting .227, in 29 games, 97 at bats, hit a 3 run homerun yesterday. Tigers made a bunch of trades last year and picked up several shortstops and middle infielders. Lots of competition.

Heard that Vincent Jackson is not playing. I know that he is not with Cardinals.

Last I heard, Andrew Lee and Drake Owenby were both still rehabbing.

That is bizarre about Moberg. The AAA team has 3 infielders on the DL and Moberg did not get there until May 24th. He may have been in extended spring waiting for short season, rehabbing, etc and they decided to send him to fill in at AAA until some of the guys get healthy. He is a great guy and did hit 10 homers last season in short season ball. Hope he has a great run in AAA. He knows baseball (I think he was at least a redshirt senior when he was drafted) and should be able to jump right in and play.

I am sure it was just an injury Situation. Bet it doesn't stick long
