When I was much younger I marveled how intelligent I thought people were who held highly prestigious positions......now that I'm older and wiser, I realize many of these folks are just complete idiots and I have no idea how they achieved such status in their chosen profession.

The most significant issue keeping him down has been health. Every time he gets on a roll, he gets hurt or ill. He’s twice been out for extended periods with vertigo. You don’t make a spot on your major league roster for him until you know you have that under control.

I don’t know why they don’t have him playing shortstop. The Reds third baseman and 2nd baseman are having all star seasons batting well over .300. Their shortstop and utility guy are batting below .240 in the lead off spot.

Stewart left game last night in the 5th or 6th inning manager said he had an injury or cramp in his calf muscle. Anyone have update this afternoon?

That was today after going 0-2. He had five AB last night. No word yet on an injury.
