Helton was doubles hitter. Perhaps the best doubles guy of his era. Not really a huge HR guy although he hit plenty in colorado
Yeah, but he leads UT for the career record for home runs...I'm looking at the media guide you won and gave to me.
Helton leads the list with 38 and Chris Burke is 16th at 26... Stew had 23...if he'd hit anywhere close to 20 a year he would have been the most prolific hitter in Vol history.
In fact, 20 home runs in a single season, would have tied him with Helton, Burke and and Chuck Barclift...as it is his 15 in 2015 are good for 8th, tied with 4 other players.

Did you get it from UT?
Honestly, when I saw it I thought that you would like it. I'm glad Bruin's graciousness went full circle........
Yes. Picked it up at a ballgame. They also had a twitter link earlier in the year where you could order one. They may still be available somewhere. I'm sure they do and I bet if anyone emailed Chad Zurcher he could mail one out for whatever they cost, I'm thinking they were around $20.
Here's a little nugget they'll have to put in the guide next year...
The new strike out king of Tennessee Baseball is....drum roll please.....
Benito Santiago with 197. He takes over first from Jeff Christensen (98-01), he had 165.
Another good Stewie article...
