So, he has 1 rough outing & he's sent back down to AAA? Good 'ol MLB baseball. :)

The plan is for him to be a starter. AZ used its entire bullpen in that game and needed reinforcements. It sux but he'll go back to Reno and get in the starting rotation until he's needed for another start.

I didn't know they was going to make him a starter. I thought it had been decided to use his at least this year from the bullpen. Thanks for letting me know.

The way their starting rotation is performing, I bet we get to see him back up soon.

Big news for Stewie! Very select company being invited to that game. I watched a couple of bats Vincent Jackson last night on milb.tv and he looked good. Senzel is off to a rough start, but he will figure it out. Lot of pressue on him. Talent will take over. Maddox leading the midwest league in batting average .351. You can watch many of the minor league games on milb.tv. The futures game that Stewie is playing will probably be on mlb network.

Senzel will have fun at Dayton. Sells out every game, over 8000 people, close to Cincinnati and tons of Reds fans. Owenby and Maddox are in that league. In fact, West Michigan (Maddox) and Dayton (Senzel) play this weekend. Those games should be on mibl.tv.com. Usually have good broadcast. Dayton struggled first half of the summer, West Michigan finished in 2nd and clinched a wild card spot in the playoffs.

Wow. His batting ave is .152. He did go 2-4 with a walk and an RBI last night though.

You beat me to it. How in the heck did he get promoted so fast with that kind of BA? :eek:hmy: That's just pushing their 1st round #2 overall draft pick. He should have been at least batting .200 to be moved up this quick. Hmm!

Y'all are evaluating Senzel on 30 ABs in Montana. Reds are evaluating him on his talent and how he projects for the next 2 years. Just be patient. Senzel will excel in Dayton and will be in Cincinnati in the next 3 years.

I'm not evaluating him at all. Simply stating some stats. Additionally, he was out of the lineup for a week or so with a wrist injury.

A player must normally be performing decently before bringing him up to the next level. That's all I was trying to say. Why rush him along just like I said about Dansby Swanson for the Braves?

Same here. I wasn't evaluating him. Just basing a decision that was made on how things typically go for these farm system players.

There is usually a system in place as to how they're handled & that's not normally based off 30 AB's for most any player. I don't care if you're a Mike Trout or Bryce Harper type talent either.

Senzel - 3 hits in 3 games. Reds expect to move him up to Class A High in Daytona before the season ends. Looking forward to him moving up to Pensacola at some point next season. Hopefully we can see him play at Smokies Park then.

I follow Mark Sheldon in Cincy and that is the org's expectation. I worked on the writers up there to push him with the FO before the draft. Thrilled it worked out. He fills a big need.

Diamondbacks placed Zack Greinke on the 15-day DL list. Watch for a call up for Godley. Could possibly get a start as early as Tuesday.
