Vice Presidential Debate 2020

Trump on el Foxo Newso today. Seems he's still on his delirious roid rage.

You Trumpsters might as well vote for Tyrone Biggums.

"She's [Harris] a communist. She's not a socialist, she's well beyond a socialist," he said, going on to make false, fear-mongering claims that Harris wants to "open up the borders to allow killers and murderers and rapists to pour into our country."

He twice called Harris, the first woman of color on a major party ticket, a "monster."

By comparison, Trump portrayed himself a picture of health, even though he is the candidate who last week struggled to breathe and required supplemental oxygen.

"I'm back because I am a perfect physical specimen and I'm extremely young. And so I'm lucky in that way,"

The desperation is mounting every day...

What was it, like 50 whacko tweets on Tuesday?

He's losing, knows it and is grasping for straws.

He's a filthy casual.

And once again your attacking their rationale on not acting on the Garland nomination while ignoring the action of not nominating a justice in an election year with a non aligned Senate is somehow unique.

You are conflating that Garland not even getting a review and vote equates to the GOP must not act now. That narrative, for about the fifth time now, is not supported by our country’s history. Obama had a GOP Senate. Trump has a GOP Senate. Even Mittens and Alexander even pointed out this basic fact 🤷‍♂️

I already said that I don't care about that. Precedent or a favorable political environment doesn't make something reasonable. I said they aren't acting consistently with their own words, which did not involve any of the considerations you've presented--nor should it. Wouldn't it be odd to say "the people deserve a chance to pick the next SCOTUS judge since it's an election year and the White House and Senate aren't controlled by the same party"? Usually you make statements like that without qualifications.

What would you call deciding to not act in 2016 because it's an election year and we want the people to decide and then reversing course four years later when it benefits you? Inconsistent or hypocritical come to mind for me, but do whatever mental gymnastics are necessary to reconcile it as being something other than that if it suits you.

And I’ve replied repeatedly that your screeching is warrantless and is ringing hollow based on how everybody knows both parties would do what the GOP is doing and which both have historically done. But hey if you feel better by doing it go nuts! 🤷‍♂️

Oh and your last sentence is simply precious 😂

That's exactly what I said. Expecting the Dems in the Senate to act largely the same is not hypocrisy.

Consistency flows both ways. Or rather, the politically motivated lack there of does.

The democrats weren't in control then and thus didn't make the decision to not give Garland a vote. Nor are they now. I think what's being asked is for Republicans to act consistent with their own words and actions from four years ago, rather than Democrats constructing an argument now for why it's not actually reasonable to appoint a justice in an election year--the latter would be an inconsistency, the former not so much.

Ah, yes, this is it. We're going to **** them because they'd **** us if we were in their position. At least you admit that's the reason now. Carry on.

Pence has been putting shiny on Trump’s $hit for 3 1/2 years. He’s good at it. But you can’t make good $hit outta bad $hit

I am making almost twice as much under trump as I was obama.

Say whatever lies you want but the economy was on fire before covid and its starting to click again.

We could barely keep up with the new commercial developments prior to march and about 2 weeks ago it's like the spigot turned back on again.

100% agree, and I say that as somebody who likes Gorsuch and finds no obvious fault with Barrett. I’m only offended by the two appointments in combination and the hypocrisy of changing the rules to suit the moment.

Neither the nominee nor the process of either confirmation, independently, was offensive; aside from the further politicization of the judiciary the expectation that they wouldn’t abide by the made-up rule when the situation was reversed. Which turned out to be true.

Yahoo reports Donny, Jr. scared $hitless to do it himself, wants his family to conduct an intervention with respect to his Daf’s “crazy behavior”

Nah, it's people like you who continue to get suckered into buying the narrative that somehow the SCOTUS is suddenly going to amend the constitution because a president wants it. No offense, but it's not Obama - it's the narrative that Obama is coming for em', happens every cycle - it never sniffs a floor vote, let alone a Constitutional challenge in the SC.

Like I said, the gun and ammo industry absolutely licks their chops at the prospect of a big mouthed democrat who pops off about gun control. The industry knows that the lobbyists' and gun loving politicians are going to make political hay with that wedge issue to literally scare up support and with the fear, sales.
I only own a shotgun, a pistol and an old .22. It’s not me emptying the shelves

I realize you don’t like Trump at all, but being a business owner..... can you honestly say you’d rather have Biden in the WH?

Anyone who denies a hearing on new dna evidence to a wrongly convicted person deserves to rot in hell. I missed the debate. Did Pence carve that pig up like Tulsi did?

No, it's going to cost me dearly. I'm one of the ones that's going to get affected by Biden rolling back the tax cuts and that sucks, but I'll still make plenty.
