I thought we signed over the rights years ago to that TU place in Austin
Can we really relax? He hasn't signed yet or agreed in principle that we know of.
I think we can. From listening to the interview he gave yesterday, it sounds like they are working out the nitty gritty details for LNS upgrades. As he said, it’s complicated. So, it may take more time to hash things out. I’m okay with them taking as much time as needed, because stadium upgrades are really important and will have a long term impact.
He also talked about the future and made reference to things 5 years from now, so I don’t think we need to worry about him leaving for another job.
Sure hope so. I don't see an opening anywhere out there now, but you never know who might be in touch with his agent.
True, you never say never; however, unless the Arkansas job unexpectedly opens up
(knock on wood that it doesn’t), I truly don’t think there’s another job he’d currently consider.
I would say that CTV is a VOL . . . but there is one opening that could be intriguing, Arizona . . . Johnson was just announced as LSWho's new coach.
I pray that Zona stays way away from Knoxvegas!!

They have substantial baseball pedigree. 5 titles and 18 CWS appearances and yet their coach still left for the “lure of the SEC” according to Kendall Rogers. Coaches don’t go from the SEC to the PAC12. We should be safe for a while!I would say that CTV is a VOL . . . but there is one opening that could be intriguing, Arizona . . . I’ve negotiated and drafted a lot of good-size deals in my career, and I’m not relaxing until we get a formal announcement. Call it professional experience, BVS, or all of the above…but a deal isn’t done until it is done.
You were right the first time. He posted his belief that Vitello would be the next coach at LSU in multiple threads... which is fine, by the way. There is nothing wrong with having an opinion and expressing it, except that he seemed to suggest that he was privy to inside information. He also spoke of "reading the tea leaves", but then wouldn't expand on what he was talking about. Now, he just comes across as a stubborn know-it-all who can't admit when he was wrong.Eze I just read back through what I wrote and I’m sorry. I came at you from left field and I shouldn’t have. You’re right with a lot of the stuff you say, I was just frustrated that you say it a lot and I keep coming across it. It’s Friday. Let’s go into weekend on a high note. If we were in the same bar I’d buy you a beer.
Agreed it's a broken record with these "insiders".You were right the first time. He posted his belief that Vitello would be the next coach at LSU in multiple threads... which is fine, by the way. It also rustles my jimmies how some posts assumed that Tony Vitello was 100% gone if LSU made him an offer. Expressing the possibility that Vitello might just prefer Tennessee to LSU was treated as being either out of touch with reality or naive.Agreed it's a broken record with these "insiders".
I'm sure TV will sign his deal in Knoxville to remain with the Vols soon.
