I can’t wait to see how we expand. Was just in college station they have a beautiful parkI know the ink isn’t dry on the contract yet, but I just want to say that, based on that radio interview with Vitello this morning, that the vast majority of us were spot on in our assessment of TV - a man with tremendous character, appreciation for the fanbase that rallied around this team, and loyalty to the school who gave him a shot.
There’s no reason TV can’t be our version of Corbin or O’Sullivan. I still say the most important thing to happen this year was the fan support showing up and out for those Vandy, Arky and then Hoover games. He knew then he could build a powerhouse at UT, and conversely, UTAD knew we would support it.
I will say this…one of the main reasons I believed that so early on was something I haven’t seen anyone mention.
The recruiting, as good as this years team was, there’s a whole bench of kids that have not played or barely played and that hasn’t slowed down at all.
You can’t talk about loyalty from day 1 and up and leave them and their families in the lurch like that, in baseball, that has serious consequences, I just never thought he would do that to those kids and I didn’t think CFA would do it either.
I encourage everyone here to visit the "Tiger Rant" forum on www.tigerdroppings.com for some afternoon entertainment. Please check out the thread entitled, "Vitello Hire will be harsh reality for Vol fans." It is currently 3 pages long with 56 posts of pure comedy.
* I think they made a very good hire with Jay Johnson, but their fans on tigerdroppings were convinced that they would land either Tim Corbin or Tony Vitello. Now they are pretending that Johnson was who they really wanted all along.

I thought we signed over the rights years ago to that TU place in AustinI hope Tony V. demands the option to bring the interlocking UT back
Caps, jerseys, stadium walls, in the turf, anywhere he wants.
Take a few 1000 less for the power.
Make it the de facto “baseball logo”
It’s the hill I will die on
Where you at good man?1. He cant repair 20 years of neglecting baseball in 6 months. LSU is ready made for success.
2. Money and facilities talk. If he was so loyal he wouldn't have left TCU for a lateral job at Arkansas.
3. Knoxville is a better town than Baton Rouge.. But our baseball complex isn't
4. again, money talks.
