Vitello Will Not Leave Tennessee. . .

He said this yesterday when he phoned in for a last minute interview with Knox sports and they asked him repeatedly If he had connections regarding this. He repeatedly said NO that it was just a feeling. Everyone got all worked up over the crap being posted at Tiger droppings and it’s nothing more than click bait. LSU is going to get the last laugh. They’ll get the coach they were targeting the whole time (not Vitello) and will then berate TN fans on twitter for the next year on how they started rumors to distract the team because they hate us so much.

That was Houston Kress of Fox Sports Knoxville, not Ben McKee of Volquest and The Swainevent. Kress said his MLB scout friend told him that LSU was very interested in CV. McKee said CV hadn’t spoken with anyone from LSU and was focused on his team.

I’m headed back to the game discussion thread.

I'm not claiming to know anything from where I sit - however, I could actually see a scenario where AD DW takes this as his first true test in regards to having everyone pulling in the same direction and take the opportunity to 'flex' a little bit. Truthfully, I'd love to see it.
I understand the BVS we've all suffered under the past decade plus, however the fact remains that UT could afford whatever it wants. We never thought we'd pay a basketball coach what we currently pay either.
You are right my good man.

Well, I've tried to tel y'all. Some of you don't believe me, still. I could be wrong, but I've not been yet. Not sure what else I can say. . . other than GO VOLS!

Look at least make it seem you know what your talking about. Baseball is a non revenue sport. We wont pay that for a coach.
Hold on honey. . . we finally have a dedicated an intelligent athletic department. They plan on big revenue from football, plus they plan on winning across all sports, internally. They are doing risk/reward, if you know what that means. They need a winner, a big winner, and they have it in this baseball team. You think they won't try to hit a walk off in the bottom of the 9th? You don't know then. With incentives, it will push over 3

I don't think LSU has offered any of the guys who "turned it down". LSU has zeroed in on who they want and they'll get him, question is who? I think it's Tony V

You must be new to this because few schools if any “get” the coach they want. You are dreaming, even Nick Saban fell into the lap of Alabama after being turned down by others and there is NO equal to Alabama in football or any other sport outside of UCLA in basketball during the 60’s-70’s no matter how much you want to portray LSU as their equal in baseball.

now, yeah. Alabama sure wasn't in that position before Saban got there. If anything, LSU baseball and Alabama football comparison is extremely valid.
