Vol #1 offense vs Wildcats #12 defense but….

Point made ealier in this thread. I know we will give up some yards, but they will not be able to stop us from moving up and down the field. We are 100% in the red zone in getting a TD or FG. If they can't stop us from scoring and we are averaging over 7 yards per play, they will get boatraced up and down the field come saturday.

I just listened to Stoops presser today. I have never caught one of his before, but he did not seem very confident in his team this week. He basically admitted 2 things that we all would think are obvious.
1. Tennessee is going to score. A lot.
2. KY is going to have to play a perfect game and even that may not be enough.

One other thing I noticed is the really dumb questions that were being asked.

Even bye weeks cannot prevent the inevitable.

I fully expect them to try and stop the deep throws on us and I expect us to ram it down their throats.

The main thing that needs to happen is 1 to 2 early stops. The crowd will be in it early which will disrupt their early script. If we get 2 scores up on them they no longer get to play their 1930s ball control game.

The nice thing is if we win the toss we defer and put their offense against the student section early.

If we lose the toss we either get the ball first or we get to put them against the student section early if they stupidly choose to elect to receive

Ky will bring something we have not seen ... they had 2 weeks to concentrate on this game.
Ky is not Alabama .... Stoops will NOT try to put on an offensive show ... that would be a poor strategic move on his part.
Stoops and Kentucky will play for the short game ... they will try to run it and keep the chains moving and turn it into a low scoring game ... that is their best option in this chess match.
Ky's offense is NOT better than Alabama ... I suspect they will have to throw the ball to move the chains.
Levis' is a good quarterback, but I do not think he is better than Bryce Young.
KY is a good team with Levis on the field! If Levis goes down ... it will unbearable for KY fans.
Turnover's if KY can get some of those .... can greatly slow the offense of TN.
Tennessee will score in the 40s.
Kentucky's defensive ranking will drop below 20 after the game this weekend.
Best case for Kentucky .... TN 45-31 (Kentucky best output of the year) Yes, I AM ignoring the Miami game!

UK talking a lot of smack for a team when they’ve supposedly been too 10 and we absolutely sucked and still can’t beat us, ummm not happening this year! Vols by 28 fiddy
I'm getting more and more confident that this will be a special season pounding Kentucky by 28 fiddy and then Tennessee beats Georgia late like they did Alabama.
I believe we’ll put 40 fiddy on them like we did LSU.

Kentucky is one of those teams that if you go out and hit them in the mouth they will lie down. Alabama, Georgia and Florida (when we played them because of the history) are the only teams on our schedule that won't lie down after an early big time lead.

Actually #14 the defense as of Oct 19 that said they did beat Mississippi state
Mississippi State/Mike Leach are always going to look great for a game or 2 and then largely pedestrian the rest of the time. He runs a very basic Air Raid with very few new elements to it.

Okay! You got me ... LOL.
It is possible, but I do not think Mark, will treat this like a horse race. He wants an old school 3/4 yards and a cloud of dust ----- which we will not allow.
He wants a slow chess match. That is his ONLY chance to win.
His Monday presser is almost .... depressing if you are a Kentucky fan ... the two brightest spot in the presser ... 'We need to play and not beat ourselves.' ... 'We have to play a perfect game to win.'
It seems like he is campaigning for Josh and Hendon to be trophy winners this year.
