Vol #1 offense vs Wildcats #12 defense but….

I'm wondering too if the weather is the great equalizer in this game. Have we relied too much on the pass?
2022 Team Statistics

Tennessee is currently 6th in the SEC in yards rushing, but at 202.86, they are less than 8 yards rushing per game behind Alabama.

Kentucky is currently 13th in the SEC in yards rushing. They are averaging an anemic 113.43 yards rushing per game. Kentucky leads the SEC in QB sacks allowed with 26.

This is who Tennessee has played :

Ball State
Pittsburgh
Akron
Florida
LSU
Alabama
UT Martin

This is who Kentucky has played :

Miami (Ohio)
Florida
Youngstown State
Northern Illinois
Ole Miss
South Carolina
Mississippi State

We should welcome a game where both teams have to run the ball more than they normally do. Tennessee has a much better offensive line than Kentucky. Tennessee's weakness is in the secondary.

“Smart” people still think LSU has an elite defense too…
LSU usually has great talent on their team like Florida no matter who's the coach. Their linemen on either side are usually top recruits at those schools. If you watch enough video, you'll realize why our undersized front ain't as dominant like we want them yet because we don't have those hog mollies on defense like that yet.

Should we be scared of UKs back up QB, because Levis might not make it to half time. We will stop the run, get after the QB, and force him to make mistakes.

If the weather is sloppy (windy, wet, cold, etc) would that favor UK with a ball control offense or UT because the offense gets defenders out of position making it easier for receivers to be wide open?
I doubt that I’m starting to believe our defense is contributing ever but as much as the offense. They aren’t perfect nor is the offense but they do seem to rise to the occasion

I think rain would help then in the sense it could create ball control issues. Underdogs would want chaos opportunities IMO.

I sure remember him running and hurdling against us last year?
Precision matters. I should've worded it to say he isn't a Young or Richardson or even Daniel's. If their OL is not that great and Tenn can get them in some 3rd and longs I think Tenn has one of its better days sack-wise. If young isn't an amazing on the run passer, Tenn smokes Bama.

Tennessee's weakness is in the secondary.

But we can offset that weakness by exploiting theirs - their offensive line and sacks allowed. If Laevis isn't a running quarterback, then we lay ears back and attack him with no mercy. If he is hurried, hit, and sacked repeatedly, our secondary is helped out.

unless Kentucky plans on driving a vehicle on the field and letting Levis throw from the window, they F'd.
