Vol #1 offense vs Wildcats #12 defense but….

I think Kentucky is very comparable to Pitt. Solid QB and RB but not such a great O-line. If we play aggressively and go after Levis he won’t be comfortable enough to pick us apart. I think their defense is solid, but they haven’t played very many good teams! We just gotta play OUR game and we will win by 10+ points at least.

Agree. The Pitt defensive game plan should work. Shut down their run, sit on the short routes, and make Levis hold the ball longer to allow pressure to get to Levis.....and it will.

David Pollock likely will be screaming at a tv when he sees Kentucky can’t hold Tennessee under 27 points, and because he has Tennessee on upset alert.

I really hope we stomp the cats. I’ve seen so many upset picks siding with KY this week and I’m over it. I realize KY is good enough of a program to pull it off, but I just don’t see it unless TN just craps the bed. I’m so tired of the goalposts being moved week to week for our Vols but not other programs. Hell, see USCjr for example. They beat UK without Levis and a trash A&M, but now are in contention for the east? Ridiculous!

I'm sort of surprised that Uncle Lou picked Tennessee to beat Kentucky something like 42-28 or 45-30.

I know most here can’t stand him (me included). I hate how much he dogs TN and all in all I don’t think he’s a good person at all, but I agree with most of his takes. Particularly his ranking and prediction videos.
He's pretty good on his predictions but i just get the feeling that Tennessee will get another last minute win against Georgia. Uncle Lou will absolutely go berserk with Georgia getting knocked out of the SECCG.:D

I’m staying away from his hate week and prediction vids next week lol. If we win or lose close then I’ll go back and watch them. Although, if we blow KY out tomorrow then I still might.

He'll put Kentucky as one of the teams on his YSIO video on Sunday when Tennessee beats them.:cool:I wonder if Uncle Lou will put Georgia on the YSIO video the Sunday after the Tennessee-Georgia game.:D

I don’t see why so many people are scared of Kentucky. They haven’t been impressive at all this year. Their best win was against MS State, who is just as overrated as they are. They barely escaped an upset by Northern Illinois. Highest scoring output of the year was 37 points against Miami OH, and they haven’t scored more than 27 on any Power 5 team. We haven’t scored less than 34 in any game.

Am I missing something here? Are we afraid they might catch us sleeping or something? Because I don’t see how this game will even be close. If it was in Lexington maybe the home field advantage would keep them in it… but they’re coming to Neyland. The same Neyland that had Alabama players throwing up in the locker room before kickoff from “anxiety” (aka fear). Think about how crazy that place is going to be when we run through the T in all black. They’re not ready for what’s coming. I know anything is possible and no one is unbeatable…. but come on. It’s Kentucky…

Stat I saw on college football preview.

Tennessee is #1 in the nation in QB pressures in 2022.

Will Levis under pressure stats.

QBR 4.8
Comp % 50
Yds/Att 6.7
2td-1int

No pressure
QBR 89.2
Comp % 75
Yds/Att 11.0
11tds-4int

Bring the heat like we did against Bama/Pittsburgh/LSU and Levis will struggle. Play that garbage, no pressure, no blitzing stuff we did against Florida and he will probably have a big game.

He'll get 300+ yards passing but Kentucky will still lose big

I think so. He gave LSU props when they had their run in ‘19. If we beat UGA, TN is going all the way. No one can stop them at that point.

I’m not worried about the Kentucky Wildcats defense since I expect Hooker has time to throw with great blocking, and the Volunteers outplay an outmatched Wildcats team that realistically can’t hold the Volunteers under 30 points.
